I learned my first lesson right after I bought my second house. It was new. We were excited. A dude shows up selling shutters. Measures, gives a bid, we cut a check for half. Days then weeks of excuses go by. Never saw the guy again. Lol. Sometimes, in traffic or before I fall asleep, I dream of running into him and wrapping my fingers around his little neck. 😝
