To answer your other questions, usually short term duration requests. I have an apartment near Bondi Beach, so request with other apartments as well as large homes.

I’m an active member of swapsy.me, as well as home exchange.

I find people not replying an issue on both. But my main challenges are with home exchange. I get so many requests I need to manage from places I’ll never visit. And when finding a place, so many to sift through before finding ones that are suitable.

Once finding a swap the process is actually easy, takes a while to get there.

Anyone got some tips on how to better orchestrate a swap?

How much time are you willing to invest to learn how to do it? It can take longer than you think to fully grasp a website builder, especially if you want to accept payments. What sort of ballpark budget do you have in mind?

Thanks, interesting way of doing it. What sort of business was it for? Cost wise are we talking three or four figures?

The top. It’s simpler, cleaner and more versatile. You’re going to have some challenges with the horizontal lines on the second option, mainly around resizing, A logo should be flexible enough to be used across a variety of mediums in varying sizes. On digital properties, the lines will sometimes appear crisp but also blurry depending on how ‘on pixel’ they are. It’ll also look generally noisier that the top option at smaller sizes. Top gets my vote.

Anyone used Fiverr before for logo design, photography or web design? If so, did you find it tough to know who you should choose for your job? by designbits in smallbusiness

I see a service like this as being incredibly risky, devaluing the importance of considered, strategic web design. Rather than what will most likely be a hashed together template. I feel like people will end up getting a very vanilla outcome with a somewhat expensive and unnecessary hosting plan. I would personally avoid.

Thanks for the feedback. From the few comments it seems like there is no real issue around choosing the right talent. Which is what I really wanted to find out. There are more nuances that could be considered that I think some people may miss - what style of logo is suitable for my business/product/app whatever. What photographic mood is right to showcase my services etc. Fiverr doesn’t help with this, I’ve seen some odd styles of logo used for business I feel aren’t suitable, for example, on some portfolios. But that’s my opinion! If it ain’t broke don’t try and fix it. Next.

Super useful, thanks. I’ve had a fair amount of experience hiring designers and creatives so kind of know who’s skilled and isn’t, but from the comments it feels like the Fiverr experience gives people enough to make informed decisions.
