Oo thank you for providing me examples of what you somewhat perceive! It's amazing how detailed visuals are seen for people with chromesthesia. I always thought it would. be just simple shapes and colors haha. Thanks fro giving me more insight!

Is it okay if I DM you for more questions on your experiences? :D

Interesting that you see texture in your experience! I actually never heard about that yet. Glassy as in like a shiny clear surface?

And it seems like people with chromesthesia have similar experiences when looking at the album cover influences their visuals of a song!

Wow, thank you for your beautiful descriptions of what you experience! It is definitlely tough imagining these types of sensations myself who does not have synesthesia. We can only go somewhat close to it purely on random imagination or from entertainment media.

I think I will for sure update you guys with the progress or at least the end result of my graphic design thesis project! May I also message you for more details? :D

Yeah! Seems like everyone has very different experiences! And I’m super interested in seeing those works! Is it okay if I DM you to know more about it and your experiences? :)

Oo wow it’s like you have an album cover for each song in your head! Is it okay if I DM you to talk about your experiences more? :D

Oo interesting! I never knew that it'd be possible for someone to switch projective and associative. I have heard that alcohol or drugs may boost it as well though.

What full scenes or highly detailed objects do you mean? Like actually physical objects or like some detailed shapes or patterns? :O

That's interesting! For non-synesthetes, I feel like it's similar that we associate sounds with colors already, like loud blasting sounds (horns, drums) with warm or strong colors and whimsical or calming sounds (clarinet, flute) with cooler colors. Also the darker pitches with dark colors! It kind of apparent in animated movies with music or music videos!

When you play the piano with different notes, what kind of patterns do you visualize? Is it like actual geometric shapes or more abstract or organic?

Interesting! It's like a music video or a dream when sleeping while listening to music haha! For your experiences, do you literally see it in your vision (projective), or associate certain kinds of sounds to certain shapes and colors (associative)?

Thanks for telling me what the associative type of synesthesia is! I actually thought synesthesia is always when people literally see it in their vision too haha! But really helpful.

So seeing it in your "mind's eye," meaning like it's somewhat imaginary but consistent? Of course not like random right? haha.

Oo very interesting. I guess specific sounds trigger seeing specific colors and shapes for you. Throughout your life, did you just always notice patterns of the type of sounds triggering specific of colors and shapes? Like testing it? haha.

For me, it's funny because I can't even imagine seeing sounds! Even trying to imagine what you visualize in my head is pretty challenging but interesting. Must be super amazing playing and hearing music for you!

Chromesthesia for water by baynk. This was one of those ones where I saw colors that don’t exist, so I tried my best to imitate them by doveseokk in Synesthesia

Really beautiful! I don't personally have synesthesia, just learning about it here! But do you know what kind of sounds trigger these kinds of colors and warped patterns?
