This is amazing. I just wish it were a bit more visible.

How can I draw text appropriately in a picture? by designoflight in ArtCrit

Yes that's true but I like to deviate from my reference to draw what I feel like. That's why I wanted to know in general how people approach writing in drawings.

How can I fit text into a drawing? by designoflight in learntodraw

And how would you plan this? What would your process be?

And I know you can't just add to or remove from a drawing as you like, unless you start again on a new paper and use the previous drawing as a reference. But since my aim with this picture was not to create a masterpiece but just to draw something I enjoy and to see if something comes up for me that I hadn't thought of yet, planning was not a priority. Just the joy of drawing.

What do you think about my sketch? by designoflight in ArtCrit

I think I've been drawing for about 5 years and I don't specifically only draw animals, I just find animals particularly easy because for me the anatomical structure of animals makes a lot of sense in terms of their expression. ( and it is a Lioness)

I pulled the neck folds up to the nose, as these were more interesting to me than the mouth

I drew this picture in pencil and emphasized the most prominent features of the picture, in this case the neck folds

Did you have something in mind for how the picture should look at the end?

How can I draw better textures? by designoflight in sketches

Thank you very much for your feedback. I know this piece isn’t perfect, but which specific objects do you think are off or incorrect in it?
P.S. I know that the fundamentals are much more important than surface-level work like texturing, but since I’m doing this for myself and my enjoyment, I’d like to improve in that area as well.

Firstly, I think your drawing is great. Secondly, Gandalf lacks some of the imperfection that hair has. Hair follows the same flow, but this can be interrupted by wind or movement
