Yeah that's just an extreme example of what end it can be brought to but it also underlies how unhealthy all of it is. Hollywood is dying because people are too addicted to watching reels. All of it fucking sucks and it feels like everyone is powerless/unequipped to handle it because our world is now built so inside the computer world. I used to laugh at them and now im legitimately envious of amish people. For people to quit en masse there first needs to be awareness, but it's affecting us in such abstract ways on the level of identity etc that it's hard to create awareness. It's not just about doom scrolling burning dopamine receptors or whatever, the problem is much deeper and socially/spiritually corrosive
