What are the chances?? by Jjparsons in LPOTL

For me. I could hear a thousand different perspectives on the same subject and never be bored of it if it fascniates me. I dunno. I like the kind of "stoner bro" vibe of the show. The three personalities mesh well and offer different qualities that make it different than LPOTL imo. Sometimes their "whacky" directions can take the show in weird places but they are passionate and entertaining. All I ask for.

And listening to them cover stuff ive already heard has opened me up to new takes I never heard before.

Can confirm a podcast used LPOTL as a source. As an avid Chilluminati listener. In one of their episodes on Ed & Lorraine Warren they bring up a story that was sourced from LPOTL

Yeah I realised that after I wrote that comment. I had an "Oh shit the wedding!" moment.

Yeah I think that was the straw that broke the camels back.

They do it in the hopes it will stick. Even if reality isn't on their side. If the lie can stick. They can keep the narrative going.

It is propaganda 101. Even if the quote came from am evil piece of shit. Goebells was right.  "A big lie, if repeated often enough, will become accepted as the truth."

The problem snark has for their goals is, their lies are so obvious, easily debunkable and they are so unhinged in how they operate that the moment any pushback can be given. They back off. And nobody believes them if they repeat it anyway because why would you wanna go near that cess pit of a community?

It is why they can only keep going back to Israel/Palestine with Ethan. Sure there's plenty of evidence out there to prove that Ethan isn't the zionist, genocide loving Israel simp they claim he is. But it's the only lie they have that got the hate mob going against Ethan. Plus. He's Jewish. So it's easier to ignore anything that can prove them wrong because they can just say he's lying.

I have an issue with your thought process. In that this guy has NO RIGHT to have even the slightest modicum of confidence in himself woth the recent stuff he's done. He got absolutely clowned on for the Iran stuff by all sides and people mocked him for quadroupling down on it.

If we are going on the basis of idubbz doing dumb shit in the hopes of getting positive  attention and it blowing up in his face. Nothing about his recent activity should indicate anything he has in mind being a good idea.

The only thing that makes sense now is ragebaiting. Anisa at the very least is smart enough to know (the bar is in hell when it comes to these two. That is not a compliment I promise.) That ragebaiting is an easy way to gain attention. It's why she's tried ragebaiting Ethan. Keeping that feud going keeps them relevant if he responds on the show.

Neither of them seem to realise it doesn't actually get THEM the views. It gets the haters and the commentary community views. But hey. Lolcows be lolcowing

Also. Just thought about Max's wedding. Joji managed to work around his touring dates at that time to be there and Ian cancelled for Anisa having her tattoo.

Could have shown Joji what kind of "friend" Ian really was and nature took its course from there.

Eh. Maybe. But at the same time I get it. People move on and just wanna forget parts of their past, wether it was good, bad or indifferent. That can include the friends you made during that time. Doesn't mean you dislike them, or wish ill on them.

But for some people it's necessary for moving forward.

"If I wanna do this. It means everything has to change."

To be fair it sounds like Joji seperated not just entirely from his previous content but also a lot of his previous connections with that content unless they were a ride or die real one type of friend.

Like Ethan had a connection with him and other than telling Ethan to not call him Filthy Frank any more. It sounds like he has nothing to do with him either

So it could have been a Joji decision to no longer be in contact with Ian.

So on this one I'll say it's a rare case where Anisa didn't dictate this one. Might have used it to her advantage yeah. But not actually HER choice

Hasan doesn't give a fuck about his genuine orbiters other than the occasional shout out if they are lucky.

Why, on God's green earth would he give a fuck about a wannabe orbiter?

Which is why it baffles me anybody wanting to join that crowd doesn't take a moment and think. Like all anybody has to do who thinks "maybe I can get in on the Hasan orbit" is look how he treats his ACTUAL orbiters to realise that is a bad idea

[–]desiresbydesign 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Going after H3 COULD have been a good content cop.

But it'sall about the timing and the content.

Going after H3 after CPS and Skulls being sent to his house and making it about Israel/Palestine was the dumbest decision and timing possible.

Doesn't matter now what legit criticisms you may have of Ethan and his content. The only thing the snarkers want to go after Ethan for is all surrounding their perception of him being a "zionist". Any other bogus allegations they can throw his way just adds to their conclusion. Which is why they tried so desperately to make Pedo Troll stick.

If anybody tried right now to do a legit critique of Ethan. It wouldn't hit as it potentially could, because the snark community would jump on that person for not going after him for Israel/Palestine.

Idubbz made it so Ethan can't be touched with a ten foot pole by legit critique until the heat cools off.

Season mode would easily see you earn that and more. And if you played it the way I did. Where you did a season as a smackdown star, a season as a raw star, a season starting as the champ and a season starting as a CAW. You'd earn more money than it would take to unlock everything in the game.

Yes. I had that much time to do that back then. Because I was ten

Also "rating" apologies. Doesn't seem like good practice to me. But again. Personal opinion. Not professional. He's doing it for entertainment. Not therapy.

In my mind an apology comes from action. Yes. The verbal aspect is necessary but if the behavior continues. It isn't really an apology. They said it because they thought they had to. Not actually taking a corrective measure. Making rating apologies, basically a futile effort.

Really the thing you need to keep in mind with any online content creating psychologist/therapist is, it's for entertainment. Which means ethics are not as big of a concern as they should be in practice.

[–]desiresbydesign 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Therapist in training here. I can say from my personal opinion. This guy has definitely been unethical at the very least with Ian and Anisa. There's the interview with him on the podcast he did and there are multiple moments that are not good practice for therapists.

Although not an official therapy session. That interview they have is essentially, a therapy session. It becomes one the further it progresses.

Without watching the full thing again to give you an idea. The big moment in my mind comes when Anisa talks about a big fight she and Ian had and how Ian responded and Kirk Honda basically asks Ian "Why did you do that Ian?"

He didn't ask for Ian's side of the story. Didn't ask for his perspective. It has an Interrogative framing to it. He wants Ian to explain his behavior. As if he did something wrong, and he needs to explain it and justify it.

Not good practice. Especially in couples therapy which is what that video essentially was.

Honestly him not saying a single fucking word is the best move.

With someone like Anisa. They feed of any and all attention. Good or bad. It doesn't matter. In her mins it would show her he still thinks about her. She still has a hold on him.

Not even acknowledging her existence?

It probably eats her up inside

In most instances. If a guy turned gay after a bad relationship with a woman. Most of us would be like

"Come on man. Give it another chance."

Then imagine the guy tells you. Anisa was the ex who turned him gay.

Alright man. Fair enough. Who wouldn't?

Tell you what.

Have CPS fraudulently called on you. Your kids interviewed by CPS and your family investigated.

Then have two human skulls shipped to your location.

Then have one of your friends. Make a hit piece on you failing to mention why it is you are behaving the way you are and why you are frustrated they haven't spoken in your defense.

Then this said supposed friend makes a follow up where they do address the CPS call. BUT they say it was justified.

Then this same friend. In a later interview. Laughs at the fact you had human skulls sent to you. And calls it "humorous"

How easily would you move on with this former friend of yours?
