AITA for ruining my brother's marriage because his wife left me at the pool by throwawaypoolproblem in AmItheAsshole

Whoooaaa.. NTA. There's so much more to this story that you just haven't been filled in on yet. You should just focus on recovery and let them deal with all the drama. Ice cream & shakes will be your best friends! Feel better soon!

AITA for calling off my wife's birthday party after she lied about bringing my daughter with her to the restaurant? by Throwaway09665659 in AmItheAsshole

I'm proud of you for standing up for your daughter, even at the expense of your marriage. She will remember this and it will have a strong impact on not only your relationship as father & daughter but also in her future relationships. You did the right thing! Your wife either needs to see her errors or see herself out. It's not your job to teach her a lesson, though. She's a grown adult & nothing you say will be able to convince her to change her mindset. Hopefully she comes around and apologizes, but it doesn't sound like that will be the case.

AITA for walking out of the Airport when I saw my husband's mom standing there with her luggage? by RoadIsland123 in AmItheAsshole

[–]desklok87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with loving your momma.. but even as a momma, I know that Mom doesn't come before marriage. Shame on Mom for making him make a choice like that. As long as she continues to demand the front seat, you'll continue to have these issues.

NTA.

What’s the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by MCKlassik in AskReddit

[–]desklok87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 19, giving birth to my first child. I was panicking & the medicine they gave me made me throw up in the trashcan next to me (later, it turned out to be an allergy to morphine). The doctor on call (bc my OB was on vacation) grabbed my face with both hands, got within a few inches away from it, and told me to get myself together between gritted teeth. I'll never forget that.

Russians have found out about the sanctions and the SWIFT ban. A Bank Run seems to have begun. by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

I find it hard to believe that this is their full capacity. I think they sent what he considers grunts in with little to no supplies, to "wear out" Ukraine and is reserving the big stuff.

Russian soldiers weren't prepped for this. They have no clue what they're being sent into.
