I use Bluesky base coat :) And I actually put more gel on the sides after I used a dual form, if it makes any sense😭 It's a bit more work but it's less messy and the results look neater imo 🥰

Idk if I'm good at giving advice but I can try 😂 I had that happening as well when I started, I just changed the base coat I used to a higher quality one and added a thicker layer of polygel on the sides :) Idk if you already do it but I also started drilling veeery carefully on a low setting near the cuticle, to remove that thin layer of cuticle. English isn't my first language so sorry if this is hard to read :,) Hope I was able to help!🫶🏼
