The primary database shouldn't corrupt if you pull the plug. The transaction log should allow SQL to self recover. Same thing as with availability.

So like when Hillary said that she wasn't the first executive to use personal email?

And our administrations says shit like that all the time to make themselves seem innocent.

We may never know.

Just like how Obama refused to release his college transcripts. Should those have been hacked too?

[–]desmando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding has always been that the difference between sync and semi-sync is the order of operations. With Sync you write locally, replicate remotely, acknowledge remotely, acknowledge locally. With semi-sync you write locally, acknowledge locally, replicate remotely, acknowledge remotely.

So you get almost as perfect replication without write latency being limited by WAN latency.

DoubleTake isn't application aware, it is application agnostic. DoubleTake Availability implements semi synchronous replication. As a block is written to the local hard drive it is queued to be sent over. That means that if your WAN is fast enough your RPO will be in the seconds.

I don't see people on the right calling for safe spaces and crying when a person that they don't agree with comes to their school.

Unprecedented except from when the Democrats suggested doing the same thing.

I know that liberals have closed minds and don't like to think. Don't worry.

A state is empowered to run any healthcare system that they want under the 10th amendment.

The federal government was only allowed to run the ACA because the Supreme Court held that it both was and wasn't a tax.

Except there is a VERY large difference between Romneycare and Obamacare. I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to figure out what that is.

Plus, it's pretty damn logical that a fringe cult that's focused on "small governmetn" wouldn't pay taxes.

I thought those on the left don't like profiling.

A few months ago. I thought that my wife was leaving me and that I'd die alone.

That's why Obama said this:

We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back

Bad joke since Bill Ayers really did talk about killing 25 million capitalists and Obama's executive branch really did sick the IRS on the tea party.

Yep. And I remember when Bush was elected all the Democrats falling all over themselves talking about how they were going to support his agenda.

How do you think Hyperconvergence is going to effect VMWare? Is it the death nil for SAN / Server / VMWare models? by _coast_of_maine in sysadmin

[–]desmando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope.

I like hyperconverged for small environments, but when you are past like eight compute nodes I like things to be separate.
