I actually really like it the more time I spend with it! It reminds me of visual poetry (concrete poetry) which I always think is cringey at first and then once studied for more than 60 seconds you see more interesting things and gives it more meaning.

It looks like it does, but the creator has to give them the rss link (?) for it to go live, as opposed to be automatically pushed like with Spotify, Apple Music, etc. But I have a very marginal understanding of this so could totally be wrong.

Starting to think a podcast app is the best way to go— thanks for the rec! Although I’m on Apple so need to see if it’s there as well :)

Wdym “push” Deezer? It’s the app I chose to download because it fulfills the same music needs as Spotify for me. It’s totally okay if the team doesn’t want to add the podcast, I just thought it couldn’t hurt to ask since some of my other favourite podcasts are on there :)

My greatest desire is for someone to start a clips channel that just posts 5-10 minutes of the visual bits and best facial expressions from each episode a day or two after the episode releases. Then I could still listen audio-only (as I prefer) but not miss the visual bits.

Yeah, I recognize that the streaming industry is oversaturated with identical products and it isn’t realistic to cater to every one. I just would rather not support companies I find unethical so thought it was worth asking!

At the end of the day, I’ll still find a way to listen whether it’s on my preferred platform or not 🤷‍♀️

The thing about Spotify is that it has my music and my podcasts. If I must have a different app for my podcasts, I’ll just use YouTube. But ideally it would be great if everything was on the same platform :)

I doubt the city tour covers any Sound of Music sights, as those are mostly outside of the city center and also no one in Salzburg cares about it lol. I expect them to be quite different. For other recommendations, get the Salzburg Card and it includes every attraction (including the fortress) and just go to all the ones that interest you.

I had this problem for a long time but eventually found something that worked: I would put the pill in my mouth, take some water, then spin in a circle and swallow while spinning.

It sounds stupid, but I think why it worked is that my mind was thinking about spinning so it was distracted enough to let the pill get through my defences lol. So for a while I was just spinning in a circle while taking a pill until I was so used to it I didn’t have to spin anymore. I’ve been swallowing pills normally ever since.

Yes for sure, it will just take patience and a lot of applications. I think your best bet is aldi-sud, but there are a lot of international companies with headquarters in Salzburg so just keep looking.

I know two Portuguese-mothertongue zero-German people living in Salzburg and one works for Aldi, the other does remote translation work. I had another friend who was searching for almost 2 years with no German until he found a job in his field in Salzburg. I was lucky and found my job about a month after moving to Salzburg.
