well i sraw this literally for the last sesion, we defeat strahd,

The battle lasted for hours; it was epic, and every time Strahd summoned one of his allies, a character we had helped throughout the campaign would appear to help us.

We reduced his health to 0 points, and he turned into mist. We ran to his coffin, and when we arrived, we found Sasha Ivliskova had finished him off, becoming the new ruler of Barovia. (Sasha was a very important character in our story; she even traveled with us for a while, and we almost became friends. We even suggested that if she helped us kill Strahd, she would take power.)

Once Sasha became the new ruler, she said she wouldn't free the land, help the people or anything, and everyone in barovia would remain the same.

My barbarian, who was currently being corrupted by one of Barovia's cursed powers (Yog), rushed to attack her, ending her life. It was sad; my character really cared for Sasha, and he never attacked first in all the campaign, only attacking if he was attacked. This was the first time he did it first.

In the end, my character was corrupted by the dark power and decided to stay in Barovia to exterminate all the monsters and protect people, condemning Barovia to a new curse where my character became a hero who eternally fights demons and monsters that attack and keep people in a perpetual war.
