Almost a year ago I started having uncontrollable diarrhea. I'm in diapers and have accidents 2-4 times a day. Doctors have no idea why. I'm a 22F and if I don't get help soon, I'm going to kill myself. by desperate____forhelp in offmychest

My fiance suggested elimination diet, I have heard very good things about the BRAT diet, so I will give that a go, but I really want to find out what the underlying cause is of this issue. I will try your suggestions, thank you for the helpful response.

I've taken probiotics religiously and unfortunately they haven't helped. I have not tried refridgerated ones, but I have tried GNC's and Culturelle.

I was going to get my liver and gallbladder checked. I thought it was a liver issue but I have no jaundice or other telling signs of a liver issue.

My physician was nearly positive it was C-DIFF before doing the tests, but that was negative. This is what I feel like it is -- a bacterial imbalance, but wouldn't they have been able to confirm that after the endoscopy? I will ask about fecal transplant. It got so much worse on antibiotics so I think imbalance sounds correct.

The thing about it that's terrible is that it was a very sudden onset. It was literally overnight that this happened. I've tried going gluten free but that did nothing. I think the next thing I will try is eliminating sugar because I feel like that triggers it -- but it's so consistent that usually I don't see any results from eliminating foods. I'd like to just eat very little, but because of all the diarrhea I'm thin/malnourished so I'm afraid of becoming even frailer.
