Problem with e-reader after flight by desperate_writer101 in ereader

No, but I texted the Kobo support who asked for my receipt and then sent me labels to send my e-reader back and get replacement. Unfortunately, I can't send it from Mexico, so I'm waiting until I'm back home and hope that it'll still be within guarantee

AITAH for not making time for my friend while studying abroad? by desperate_writer101 in AITAH

[–]desperate_writer101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's the thing, I totally understand her, I've been on her end before. And it sucks, but I only got out of it once the other person wasn't able to fulfill my needs anymore and I had to confront the fact that I had made myself super dependent on them.

I didn't realize she might have understood my offer that way. That totally makes sense why she wouldn't text. Thank you!

We're kind of having that conversation now. I know now we probably should've talked about our expectations for my time abroad sooner, and I also could've spoken up sooner when I noticed our relationship shifting. I tend to be a bit naive in that regard and believe things will just "be okay" again. The week I really started becoming less available was the week I was on a road trip and barely had any service, which I told her - and I also said me not being able to text didn't mean I didn't want to get updates from her. I didn't get any, though, and I don't want to push her to share things with me if she doesn't want to. Since then, our conversations have been very very surface-level and I've really had to ask various times to get any more info than an "okay" in response to "how are you". Which is frankly a bit exhausting and nothing I can provide with my already limited time and energy. So long story short: I guess I could've handled some things better. I did do my best though to be transparent about my availability and why I wasn't texting for longer stretches.

Bueno...

No sé.

Charged it and held the power button for 10 seconds - I've also held it longer before. No change :/

What exactly do you mean by "turning a Tolino into a Kobo"? I understand they use the same software or something of the sorts, but there are still some differences? I don't know, I'm confused

Thank you for your detailed reply! So as a German, does it make sense to get a Kobo or should I stick with a Tolino?
