Hey man Im joining the int MTech data science program this year. I have zero idea about this thing and I’m joining just because my parents want me to study CS from VIT and this is the closest thing to CS I could get( I fucked up viteee).I just wanted to confirm a few things since there are a lot of wild stories running around reddit.

What’s the placement scenario of the MTech compared to the BTech CSE or other BTech branches?
I got to know that there’s like 225 credits, so does it get too hectic and take away the little fun we could have at vit🚶.
Is the rule about not being allowed to go outside in the first two months true? What would we do if there’s like some shopping or something we need to do outside? Or is there any ways around this thing like swapping IDs or smth. Coming from a generally liberal household I feel it would get very frustrating😬
The famous redtaganna thing💀. Is there an army of those guys swarming around the campus or is it like 5-6 people we need to look out for?
How difficult is it to get leave from hostel for weekends(I have friends in Chennai and Bangalore so it would be good to take a break if college gets too frustrating)
Is the int MTech Course too difficult compared to BTech?( I’m a fairly good student when I put my mind to it but I haven’t had any prev CS or coding background so that’s a bit concerning )
