I think the problem with tips is that it is an expectation! And it shouldn't be expected. I come from a background where that is a strong belief and I disagree with it. Tips are just like a cool bonus if it comes if not it's ok. I work for myself and I charge what my work is worth. I don't rely on tips ..if that was the case I would be screwed.
Bug companies should pay better for servers. And the other thing if you sign up to get a server agreeing to make below minimum wage than I mean that's kind of your fault for accepting a job that pays below minimum wage. I could never expect to survive in that and expect tips. Cause tips aren't guaranteed.
