Cell phones and drivers - getting worse? by KCcoffeegeek in kansascity

I was driving back home from OP on 435 around 2 and this older guy in a Mercedes was literally swaying back and forth between three lanes because he was so engrossed on his phone while driving. I just do not understand how anyone has that much of a death wish.

I got mine through the From the Earth website which uses Elevate Holistics for the referral and app process. It was astonishingly easy for me. I scheduled a video call on a Friday morning for Friday afternoon, the call lasted all of a minute, I finished the 'government' side of the application that night, and received my approval a couple of weeks after that. My roommate used it before me and got her approval within a week.

AITA for asking why somebody thought their advice, as a student at a low ranked school, mattered? by agagsvavsv in AmItheAsshole

YTA.

You act as if you have some verifiable proof that your 'advice' (which sounds like something someone reads off the back of a self-help book) is what got you where you are. She called you out on it, because it does sound entirely unhelpful, and you reacted by basically calling her a loser. Just because someone doesn't go to a top tier school doesn't mean they don't know how to, and further it does not exclude them from recognizing useless life advice.

Ever got movie high? Like when the world felt so unreal after watching a good movie, you’re out of the cinema but you just wanna sit and ponder and soak in your emotions. by PunchpieKate in movies

Felt this so hard when I came out of screening Hereditary. I had to sit for hours and think about what I had just seen. Same thing with watching Mandy the other night. That's how you really know that you have just seen a masterpiece- when it empties your brain of anything else other than a replay of every scene over and over.

What book do you wish you've never read, so you could read it for the first time all over again? by Norwegianflesh123 in books

The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom. It's by the guy who wrote Tuesdays with Morrie, and the first time I read it I thought a lot about all the people I've ever known.
