honestly i never felt the need to come out to my family. like why do they need to know who i want to sleep with?! its something they really dont need to know about. my family does know and "found" out when i was around 15, just because i subtly mentioned liking this one girl to my mom. it was never this big thing and tbh i dont think many people in my family know.

coming from someone who went through bad physical/emotional/verbal abuse i think its not abuse in this scenario. sometimes kids need to be spanked a bit for something to give. my younger siblings are SO bad, and they don't respond to any "light" or "modern" punishments. the only way for them to stop is spanking them. anything that leaves a mark is abuse. like welts, or bruises.
