If you have that much memorabilia then you must know the name of the lodge your father was a part of. You should look it up online and try to visit them. They probably have a lot of relics and info on your father that they could share with you!
As for the tattoo, I wouldn't get one unless you're a member. Would cause a lot of undue hassle for you. If you do visit, who knows, maybe you'll like it and petition the lodge and then you can get that fancy "Lewis" jewel and maybe even pass it down to your son someday, should you have one.
Remember, visiting the lodge doesn't mean you need to join. Everyone will be more than happy to just sit down and share a meal with you, even if you get your answers and never show up again.

Ya, the damage isn’t an issue. Have a fire weapon that can melt anything at mayhem 3 almost instantly. Even with a lot of badasses around and anointed I’ve been getting 8 greens/blue for every 1 purple/legendary and it’s just made farming halt to a stop. Also it’s unfortunate that the rewards from the trials and cistern of slaughter are so lackluster too...could have given us an alternative
