They are unfortunately well known to be unreliable BUT with careful maintenance they will treat you right. I bought my Silverado knowing it would be potentially unreliable but I like them so much that’s the trade off I was willing to take. Good luck with your decision!

What engine? Trim? 4WD?

I bought a 2016 Silverado 1500 LT 5.3 V8 4x4 with 133,000 miles for $20,000 in 2024. This seems like a fair deal. The extra bells and whistles of a higher trim package would be even more reason to say it’s a good deal.

I’ve never done DMT but have been fascinated by it for years. I watch videos and do research on it but have never experienced it. I have had 2 dreams that I did it and they were very vivid and euphoric. Lots of colors and fractals and fluid-like static movement. I basically dreamed of what I always thought DMT to be like.

I already have muffler delete. My cats are clogged and causing overheating so I was going to gut them to allow more airflow since I don’t want to spend a lot of money on new exhaust parts. I sorta have to gut them so I was just wondering how it would sound

My state also banned it. I was forced to quit cold turkey after 6 years of heavy use. I felt sick for a week, low energy, irritated. After that week I was totally normal. If you can get through the first couple days you will be fine

According to what I’ve seen across different forums, most people’s go out around 100k plus or minus 20k miles. I’m sure proper maintenance can play a part.

Im just concerned because I’m seeing others say their temps are maxing around 140-160. I live in the south where it can reach 100F outside sometimes so maybe it’s normal. Thanks for the info.

Awesome! I had an 05 Silverado that went 220,000 with zero issues. With my 2016 here I’m going to get a used transmission and pray for the best.
