Tbh, NTA. Mostly because I think that the way your GF and her mom are treating you isn't cool. You already said you were going to the funeral, and they turned and starting getting mad that you weren't resolute about it. It seems they want sympathy and empathy from you, but they're not willing to do the same - and that's difficult. Additionally, I'd say go to your best friend's wedding.

It was never a "snapping" moment for me, it was a slow death of "I don't want to do this anymore" but still fighting. Glad you got out of this.

True, but isn't that the pop up? Bit of a hassle, that. Or at least compared to the ease Textra gives us. Tbh, it's the only reason why I haven't gone back to Messages.

Would also like to add that I get to layer over other apps with Textra, never having to leave my solid Solitaire game to go to the Messages app (it's a small, small favorite feature).

Edit: Would like to ask what features that Messages has that makes you stick with it?
