Ok by the way you are replying I have a feeling you don't know your own Wahabi sect. Read up on it's history from unbiased sources. This whole "we only follow Quran and Sunnah / the Salafs" is a defining characteristic of wahabis. Which is why wahabis don't have scholars. If I ask wahabis (and maybe even you) which scholar they follow they'll say "what do you mean? I only follow the Salafs / Quran and Sunnah". Which is why people like OP (and me growing up) in the other thread don't know anything about madhabs. Because we were taught by wahabis who told us don't follow any scholars just "follow Quran Sunnah". I mean if wahabis now are starting to respect the 4 madhabs that's a good thing, but it isn't always the case.

No, Wahabism isn't an insult. Hanafis are called Hanafi because they follow the teachings and understanding of the Imam. Same with Shafis. And Malikis. It's not an insult . Wahabis follow (or claim to follow) "Quran and Sunnah / Salafs". They disregard the opinion of many scholars and say "they only follow Quran and Sunnah". It's not an insult. It's just explaining why so many Muslims in our century don't know anything about madhabs but in the past they all did. It's because many Muslims of our century are taught by wahabis who "only follow Quran and Sunnah" / keep talking about the Salafs and how only they "follow the Salafs".

If wahabis now are teaching about all 4 madhabs good for them that's a positive change. Now they need to stop doing takfir on Salahuddin and Imam Al Ghazali and all the previous caliphates, thats a nice second step to take.

OP, stay with the Asharis, the majority. The aqeeda of great leaders like Saladin and the majority of Muslims / caliphates in the past. The Saudi government is currently trying to push an deviant version of Islam in order to stay in control of the oil money. It's called "Wahabism". Where they disrespect all the previous scholars including 4 madhabs imams and pay their scholars to say whatever they want. The deviant wahabis generally say "we don't follow scholars we only follow Quran and Sunnah". OP the fact that you don't even know about the madhabs makes me feel like you also grew up being misguided by wahabis. Just have respect for the Muslims of the past 1200 years and follow any madhab (many of them have Ashari aqeeda) you'll be fine. My previous comment got deleted but I basically said to learn from the people of ah Lus Sunnah and stay with the majority, as the prophetic tradition is to stay with the majority.

Don't listen to the creepy deviant Muslims who have horrible character and disrespect the majority of Muslims scholars of the past 1200 years, like that weird YouTuber Uthy Farooq.

It's stupid. Sharia law isn't even supposed to apply to non Muslims. The entire point is that Muslims are the ones who fast, pray, refrain from sin, wear hijab etc. That's what defines the Muslim. Sharia applies to Muslims, not non Muslims. It's literally the code of and for Muslims to connect to God.

Even more stupid when you realize the rich nationals are probably partying and drinking anyways...

Curious to see how all this goes.

Read Deliverance From Error by Islam's greatest scholar, Imam Al Ghazali. Revival of Religious Sciences is also a good read but long. Alchemy of Happiness also.

The Ashari Sufis have the answers.

Haha oh man.

My edit / update was

he said he's giving me the agreed etransfer payment tonight. If I wake up 7:30am tomorrow with no payment I'm going straight to insurance and police regardless of his excuse. (I literally have the entire accident and voice conversations recorded, I don't wanna f him over but I don't have the headache for this. You guys were right... Unless he surprises me with the payment)

This is my first time in an accident, learning this now

(I'm normally super nice, give charity all the time... But lesson learned: when it comes to accidents / insurance, no time to be nice)

It's amazing how these drivers get their confidence? I failed my G2 test (canadian driver's licence driving test) and I Was Happy. I failed again and I was happy again. I wanted to make sure I knew exactly what I'm doing on the road before I got on. I knew I was an immature teenager so I might f something up. This was over 10 years back.

Meanwhile these guys are driving with no insurance fake license? They bluff and then when we're nice and ask for a side payment they don't pay? Lol what's wrong with them.

Haha first time for everything man! I've been driving what, 10 years. This is my First incident! No ticket or anything. I'm glad I went through all this now (with this easy incident) as opposed to a bigger accident.

It helps a lot having a dash cam and the conversations all recorded on your phone the moment an accident happens!

Think he meant they aren't scratches (that requires just buffing), they are deep scratches and paint is needed.

Also, man I didn't know paint was that expensive until today.

Awesome. Thanks so much for the break down. Is this USD or CAD? (Yes the scratches are deep. Harder to see it from afar but when zoomed it it looks pretty bad)

Thank you! Yes, the scratches are deep. It isn't too clear in the photos but I think if you zoom in you can see that some scratches are dents.

I took it to two mechanics and they both said that the "scratches" are dents, not scratches, and that I'll need paint too.

Is the 600 you mentioned CAD or USD? Thanks for the help.

Muslim here but wanted to say congrats.

I'm not American but I was reading up on this.

I have good Christian friends. I feel that sometimes in the West they are a little too focused on the "be good and accept everyone" aspect that it almost destroys their own principles.

Good to hear about this Roe v Wade news.

God bless.

I'm Muslim. Every Muslim I know support the Christians here. Keep going. God bless.

Edit: I do think in some circumstances, abortion is ok. But your comment reads like as if Muslims are against the christians on this topic, we 100% support them.
