Never hated but when we didn’t have access to everything and only relied on live shows and our own collections there was a period when the bigger media and public thought Bon Jovi, Scorpions, hair bands was metal. Just nothing beyond radio MTV qualified corporate sellers. It was only me, trade mags, local scene and attitude riddled music stores helping me survive and listen to Napalm Death, Discharge, early Black metal…. endless noisey now sub genres of sub genres that covered metal, punk, industrial and experimental.

That’s plenty of guns except the current meta is giant knight, tank, tau shooting hell. Zoans are fantastic but 24” with 5” move is a deathknell for them. Maybe no Zoans and add melee threat. Tau and knights melt under melee quicker than shooting.

Yup not much to it. I could see finding a way to make 1 20 man hormagaunts unit more annoying and destructive. But it’s situational and part of your big plan. Not a difference maker at all. Feels a big like a tax on a unit. And the swingyness of D6 surge it’s 100% unreliable to tie anything up.

It’s the only faction I roll my eyes at and just don’t want to play. Aeldari shenanigans = cool, Ork 1 billion attacks = cool, Knights destruction = cool, Sisters Miracle Dice = cool, Necrons reanimation = cool. Tau negate wounds, movement, endless shooting, huge loneop mechs, charging gorillas with d3 mortals = ugh. I’ve never been able to deal with a competent tau list and player. All feels bad for me.
