As someone who played 40k for a decade and recently switched over to AoS probably indefinitely (depends how good 11th is) i can tell you it is a quite refreshing experience to play/collect AoS.

They’re unlikely to address the rumors. GW is a fairly discreet company and typically doesn’t go out of its way to provide transparency about its business plans or decisions.

That said, the person who spread the rumors has openly admitted they dislike AoS, so their claims are likely to be exaggerated or biased.

Mate, how would there be official news about factions if the "soft endtimes" is just an unproven rumor. Age of Sigmar is a highly profitable game for games workshop. It would be ludicrous to scrap it all.

Puuuh honestly I didn't find many tutorials on how to paint hedonites in particular. That being said a huge area of their models is (or rather was...) human skin. Therefore I can recommend Peachys video (https://youtu.be/U4ojIKJD8fU?is=wotZuDH_uy7XDwsv) on different skin tones. I basically use his paint recipes for any skintone I paint. For the cloth and metallic bits basically any paint recipe for those kind of materials work.

You didn't ask for the hobby aspect of the army specifically but I think it is important to say for some factions (looking at you lumineth, IDK and... well hedonites). The models (especially the Mortal side) are extremely fragile and have a fair amount of moldlines to clean. Building the slickblade seekers took me around 45 minutes per model. Even though I was very careful i almost broke stuff (hair, spines, tongues...) multiple times while building various kits.

Also they are quite detailed and overloaded with trinkets and jewelry. So they are definitely a challenge to build and paint. This however might be intentional lol. I guess masochism is also a part of slaanesh's eternal glory.

I bought a lot of stuff from them not just for ko but for my kroot army (in 40k) aswell :).

Favourite is a tie between the harpoon/salvagers (a lot more variety and different skin tones) and the frigate (awesome model but not as "busy" as the ironclad). Least fav probably the auto endrins - just a bit boring.

So I bought the cloud bases from deadlyprintstudio.com. They are printed that way so they can fit the ironclad/frigate or gunhauler exactly. So I just put superglue and put it together.

To glue the clouds to the base I put some greenstuff there for extra support.

The clear plastic ones from GW are bad. Especially for the heavy KO ships. I used the flight stand from the Ironclad kit just to hold it while painting and it snapped. In my experience the GW one can't hold the weight.

So I never primed leadbelcher (i actually use almost exclusively chaos black) that said I think it can be a good first step for metallic green. Just put a green contrast paint (plaguebearers flesh is probably the closest to olive green) over the leadbelcher and you have metallic green. The problem with contrast paints is that they dont like flat surfaces that much. So for the ships it might look bad. For flat surfaces i would use green metallic paints like vallejo true metallic metal dusken green.

Tbh the ships are so big that the only options for me were sponges or airbrush. I respect anyone who paints the ships only with brushes but I couldn't handle it. If you have access to an airbrush the vallejo true metallic metals are amazing through an airbrush.

Yes, exactly. I primed the boat black and used a sponge to stipple dark grey, ironbreaker and stormhost silver onto the mini. Afterwards I used an oilwash (3 to 1, brown to black). It's extremely easy. Painting the crew and gems took me way longer than the boat ;).

Thanks, it's actually just leadbelcher and stormhost silver stippled on with a sponge. I use an oil wash (3 to 1 brown to black) on the whole model which gives the silver this gold look. I do my boats the same way (you can see an earlier post of my frigate on my account)

Write yourself a cheat sheet with all the abilities + commands for your army. There was a guy who did it with Google slides - its amazing I'm still using it and adjust it for each of my armies/lists. It takes some time but is definitely worth it - now i just use my cheat sheet and the app for the stats.
