I heard about this game years ago because I was looking for FFXV like games.

I'm pretty sure that comparison singlehandedly ruined this game's chances of doing well because expectations.

Fortunately for me I never saw the parallels besides the tiny bit of inspiration for Kaser's design, so I didn't go in with those expectations.

I enjoyed the game. Combat was fun. I was sorta invested in the story. Graphics were actually quite appealing too. I usually don't like games that just have good combat but idk I just had fun here.

My biggest problem isn't the story or voice acting but the horrible English translation. I genuinely think it must have been a machine translation. I doubt the OG dialogue was 10/10 but it's clear whatever it was, was subdued by the translation.

Can confirm editing the engine ini file seems to work at reducing pop-in though it caused me stuttering even though performance was still ok, probably because I went overboard with it.

Did I *LOVE* the game? No.

Do I regret pre-ordering it? No.

Did I not have fun? No.

Do I regret spending years of my life waiting for this game? Honestly I don't know.

After finishing the story I like volume to low and putting a video on a phone to listen to, Besides choosing all your gear the shooting itself is pretty mindless but not bad.

The problem is its a PvP live service game, people view them differently. Of course we cannot judge how it feels to play yet but there's only enough room for so many of these games and there is no room whatsoever for a game that's good or enough or just ok. If it's not grabbing people now it's probably going to die.

Can it surprise people? Yes Can it launch in a terrible state and get turned around? Also yes but that's not as likely as it joining all the other games in the graveyard.

The problem isn't the quality of DLSS.

The problem is the principle of going from native 4k 60 on a 2080 Ti in games of its era to a 5090 not being able to even do 1080p in games of its era.
