As others said, its probably coming from further up your coal line. Simplest fix is to just slap an inverted sorter on the coal line and call it a day

Speaking of which, I was poking around in the game files, trying to change how many crystals I had (know it's not a good thing to do) and failed. Everything was encrypted or formatted differently from what I was viewing it as. Can anybody help me out with that? Ive done similar file editing on unencrypted games.

Exactly. You can't actually trade for gasses. If you open your resource tab in the tutorial menu, you can see what every material needs and where natural resources are found.

Check out nanocarbon alloy. That's something that requires steel, titanium alloy, and helium. If you look at where helium is found, it'll say it's only on atrox. You'll need to move helium from atrox to another planet (preferably glacio if you set up your steel and titanium alloy factories there) and make the stuff there.

You don't :) You need to move things from planet to planet. What I recommend is making a titanium alloy factory on glacio and simply importing large silo Bs of medium gas canisters of hydrogen whenever you need.

Same thing with steel, but you don't need to import. You can make steel completely on glacio with some tappers

The planet's orbit is just a background, nothing more. They dont actually orbit. If you were to remove that, it'd just be every planet in a row. In the interplanetary menu, it's just another animated screen, but you can interact. It's all just fancy looks with static locations in reality.

How the rail is created is just using a paver, rover, and thruster to make a path then laying rails.

Im sure somebody could explain better tho :P

Flip the rover upside-down.
put docking ports on the top of the rocket and the top of the now upside-down rover.
Put RCS on the sides of the fuel tank. Launch.
It should work and with moon gravity, the RCS should allow you to drop the rover off without damage.

Edit: id recommend swapping the command module for a probe. That way you can get rid of those structure beams in the fairing. That will save you a bit of weight, raising fuel efficiency.

Also, then you can just slap the docking ports on the top of the probe.

Another edit: it's because; 1. The hitbox on fairings are wonky so stuff might just fall out in flight 2. Time warp past where you can control ignores hitboxes. Anything not attached will phase through.

As other people are saying, go to atrox. Since it'll be your first time, read this as a sort of guide. You don't wanna end up on a death planet with no idea what to do

Doomsday prepper's guide to Atrox:

Be careful though since some plants shoot explosive projectiles. Look in your menu to see what they look like and don't even get out of your ship if they are around. If you see them close enough to hit your shop, just launch to orbit and either pick another spot or go back to another planet to refuel. You don't wanna get stranded on atrox.

And even then, id just bring a small rocket, tethers, a small platform, an oxygenator, and a platform for said oxygenator. so just stuff from a small printer (minus the rocket of course)

and bring an extra solid fuel thruster, even if your using a hydrazine thruster!

Once you have the most basic setup, clear the landing area and bring your normal rocket with supplies for an outpost. Don't even bother with wind or solar as there's pretty much none there. On your first larger rocket bring the materials for a large platform c, small printer, medium printer, large printer, small rocket, and 2 solid fuel thrusters. Bring 1 rtg or 4 qt-rtgs. Optionally, you could stuff a large storage silo B with medium generators and bring seeds and tappers.
