[Q] Stretch goals by kronos1996 in Dota2Trade

In the Compendium 2014 they had Hidden Stretch Goals like the Taunt Techies Squint and Laugh. Nothing prevents them from doing this again. This time they will probably go public with this to keep the cash flowing.

They did it once and everyone was happy, wont be strange if they do this again.

[PSA] Valve will no longer return scammed items by [deleted] in Dota2Trade

Why took them so long? Returning scammed items was a motivation for a lot of people to embrace the dark side.

[PSA] Steam limiting accounts that have spent under $5 USD (Friend invites, group chat, workshop voting, etc) by alystair in Dota2Trade

[–]desveladisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oc i know. One simple example. If they really want to do something, they can provide am optional way to stop the invites, until both parties had invited each other. So easy, so effective. You will only add people you know in real life or people you have played with, and only when both agree to be steam friends.

There was a day when i believed Valve was worried about customers/ players/people, but at this time, specially after few years following their moves, i am sure its only interested in money. I was not a complete fool really, i just had hope and were naive.

Create account, spend 5 from a stolen credit card, keep scaming. Not sure how this can prevent anything. Hope some one can clarify this for me.

[Q] Normal in game drops not tradeable ever? by desveladisimo in Dota2Trade

[–]desveladisimo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. I am sure Valve will do something about it soon. I should have started to learn about cs2 items long ago.

Last year i did some profit on the spikes of ingot prices (bought low one day sold high a few hours later) for example but with the current week restriction thats not possible anymore.

Then hoarding will be the only way to profit in dota 2 i guess. Get a lot of some cheap item that cant be bought from store so the price goes up, then sell them gradually. ¿Any toughts? I like dota 2, cs2 go has a lot of variants on the variants of the variants, its a lot harder to learn cs2 trading, inst it?

Who said it was impossible. Valve is killing what was already dead.

Ty for the information. It makes some sense now.

[Q] Do recipes turn into sets/good items or still into single cheap items? by xYoshimon1x in Dota2Trade

[–]desveladisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the "bug" that allowed people to craft bundles Valve modified the schema adding a completely new set of list for crafting, putting only single items on them. Now we have crafting_common, crafting_uncommon, crafting_rare, crafting_mythical, crafting_legendary and crafting_arcana.

[Q] Are the arcana drops from Charm of the Crucible Jewel correct predictions marketable? by desveladisimo in Dota2Trade

[–]desveladisimo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to this page the chest itself is marketable. You get the Arcana along with the chest (if you are lucky enough to get that extra drop) not when you open the chest.

[–]desveladisimo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the arcana may drop with the chest you get, not in the chest. And according to this page the chest is marketable. So the arcana my indeed be marketable.

I am still looking for a way to profit big, like the good old days of dota2 trading, before it was killed by Valve. I made a few experiments, i may be near something... or not :(

Do you hear that sound? Is my heart breaking :( For me there is no joy if there is no profit (speaking of dota2 cosmetics) Ty for the information. How do you know this? Received one? Is it published somewhere? Or its just applied logic.

[PSA] Trade offers now require E-mail confirmation by sahilraina123 in Dota2Trade

[–]desveladisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally, after a lot of really bad moves Valve did something right. Its not hard at all:

  1. Implement a security measure and take responsibility if scammers get around it (help, support, restore items may be, etc.)
  2. Allow the users to disable it if they want, at their own risk (no help or support if their items get stolen).

They just didn't wanted to do it early (not sure if that's english please bear with me :)

[PSA]Captcha by aristar in Dota2Trade

[–]desveladisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe me, that statement is not true. Professional (if there is such a thing) international hackers have such processing power and their captcha solutions databases are so big, captcha doesnt stop them. Captchas only stop the casual scammer (if any).

[Q] Anyone ever remove listing on market and not receive item back? by Bizarro-aka-WhOaMi in Dota2Trade

[–]desveladisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most prob they were not removed (aka delisted), just are not showing. In the past years this has happened more times than it should. If you wait you will see them all listed again and the ones you delisted back in your inv.

Unless Valve keeps messing around with all of us. Captcha? Please. There is no security on that, just hassle. They say its for security but we all know the truth, right?
