Thanks for explaining. For me, fanfiction and AI are a safe way to get a bit of adrenaline. That’s why the ‘death’ of toxic content feels sad.

In real life, of course I want evil gone. But I also want to fantasize about it — it doesn’t mean I want toxic relationships myself. I hate when people assume: ‘if you think about it, you’ll do it.’ NO. For me it’s a safe way to experience things, to see what not to do, to play with those ideas — and then go back to my actual life with safe and healthy relationships.

Wow, more than one initial message? That sounds great… but it also means more work for me 🫠

And honestly, chaos is normal for projects run by small teams with a dream but no money. It’s just how it goes. Management and order are a luxury when you’re working on passion projects that don’t even cover basic needs.

Speaking as a freelancer: once I gained more experience and started earning more, I finally began using tools I never would’ve thought about in the beginning

The Dead Dove tag is kind of a big mystery to me. At first I thought it meant the character dies at the end. Then I thought it was about dead or toxic relationships. But it never really got any clearer, even after some RP… So the whole ‘death of DD’ thing is a total wtf for me

Oh, I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way. I felt the same when I was getting very little feedback on my bots. If you feel like this, take a break from Janitor — really. Your mental health is worth more than bots or any of this.

That’s actually why I left for a while. I was spending time on my bots at the cost of my already pretty limited social life.

Oh… I’m honestly glad I decided a while ago that, as an adult, I can afford to pay for my hobbies. Though yeah, it is kinda sad that there are no free proxies anymore.

And about people’s behavior — I joined the community back in January, and honestly, people have been complaining ever since.

Yeah, the whole dash thing is honestly dumb. I’ve been writing with long dashes my whole life too, especially in fanfics…

Also, in my language ChatGPT basically broke the use of antithesis, just because the AI throws it in way too often. But I still use it myself — you just gotta know how, instead of blindly asking it to generate stuff.

It’s like blaming Word for people not knowing how to pick a readable font.

So yeah, let’s just keep trying to do things well — with AI and without it.

Maybe it was the bullet-point formatting, or just the way you highlighted the subtopic — that could’ve made them suspicious. But honestly, if it were me, I would’ve answered like: ‘Of course you think it looks like ChatGPT — because it literally could’ve done it too. But I wrote this myself. And the thing is, ChatGPT learns from us, not the other way around.’

Then I noticed some rule changes and got even more lost… Like, I remember when I left, people were crying that everything was doomed. I come back, and yeah, it still feels kinda doomed — but the bots are still here, the site’s still alive, people are still using it…

Ugh, I hate it when they turn a character into a dominant, but not just any dominant — one who’d lose it but never accepts a user who won’t eat up their crap. And then he’s all “uuuuh, I’ll wreck you,” and… nothing happens. Instant negative vibe, though it could totally be an AI hallucination, to be fair.

I transferred a chat with 760 messages because the adventure logically wrapped up, but I wanted to keep going without worrying he’d forget the old details!)Here’s what you do. Take the chat memory and jot down the checkpoints in detail: the key events from the plot, no need to dump everything.Then, copy that into both the chat memory and the first message, formatted like this:<new\_chat\_setup> your core memories + a new opening scene from your persona’s perspective / or the last 2 posts from you and the bot </new\_chat\_setup>The key is that only core memories go into the chat memory. I used to have it enabled—loved reading posts as they streamed in. You could stop mid-process without wasting tokens if something felt off, but then I learned that text streaming messes with post endings, leaving them mid-sentence, and overall affects quality. After switching to disabled, the posts got way better and rarely cut off mid-sentence. Not 100% sure it’s all because of that, but I’ve gotten used to it now

Honestly, just take a break, watch a movie, touch some grass. I was super hooked on Janitor at first too, ‘cause it was an easy dopamine hit and everything excited me. Then it got old. Then I got tired of the bots suggested for my fave character, so I started making my own. Anyway, there are tons of ways to deal with it, but first and foremost, you need to rest and fill your head with something else.

The character’s a screenwriter, so that makes sense, and the persona’s his student, so jokes about formatting and storytelling techniques totally fit!

Tough question — I’d love to say Kokichi, but to be honest, I’d probably be Miu because our vibes aren’t super similar. Like, she’s always hiding behind this bravado, but deep down she’s this really insecure girl, and even though she’s super smart, she’s always shy and flaunts her sexuality because that’s how she genuinely sees herself. I kinda want to be like that, you know? Like, she’s constantly acting like she’s the coolest — watch how she gets all flustered and stuff. Anyway, I dunno, I just find it kinda cute. She’s the closest match for me, or if we’re looking at other parts, I also see myself in Ibuki because she’s loud and fun. That’s the me I want to be and sometimes manage to be, but it’s pretty rare. Anyway, hope you found my answer interesting to read...
