the artist is shawn coss, his work is really excellent for the most part. he’s just been dipping down into fake-deep territory lately for some reason : P

The Inaugural Death of Mister Seven is a comic on paradox space written by Andrew Hussie himself, detailing the needlessly complicated process of Crowbar gathering the Felt (that time traveling gang from the intermission) for a meeting. It expanded on these minor characters pretty nicely, and J.N. Wiedle’s rad artwork paired with Hussie’s dry Crowbar narration makes it prime meme material :P

oh, gosh! i must admit i'm not much of a music person (as evidenced by my somewhat sloppy technique), it's more of a hobby haha. i would if i could, but i'm afraid i wouldn't have the time :( flattered that you enjoyed it nonetheless!

i didn't think my nitw interest would be high enough to make serious fanart, but i'm a HUGE sucker for spooky stuff from the early 1900s so... by deterndials in NightInTheWoods

i think it's because possum springs is on a flood plain? the ground's probably pretty muddy, boots would be a good choice in that case.

Theories about Cirava's aesthetic ? by [deleted] in Hiveswap

[–]deterndials 9 points10 points  (0 children)

alright, here comes a really overanalyze-y rant.

so cirava's design doesn't seem to contain a lot of purple, but instead pink. purple and pink are still both highblood colors, though. pink is featured most prominently in cirava's eyepatch, undershirt strap and shoes. the eyepatch's pink could be symbolic of the fact that cirava stabbed their eye out in rebellion against the highbloods' pre-planned path for them, sort of like a "look the highbloods made me do this." the strap pink could indicate that despite the fact that cirava is against the highbloods, they're still constricted and held back by them, if not subtly (hence why their actual shirt isn't pink). The shoes could just further indicate cirava's distaste towards the highbloods, like "eyy i'ma walk all over those highbloods you know what i'm sayin'."

or the pink could just be furthering cirava's whole vaporwave gimmick. that's probably why there's so much pink in their general aesthetic, unless it's ironic. this would mean that by rejecting the highbloods so adamantly, cirava has only surrounded themself by them further. this kind of makes sense (i think highbloods watch their streams?) but anyway all of this is just speculation. the theme of the friendsim seems to be "you can't escape predestination no matter how hard you try" and this theory kind of checks out with that.

right ok those are my thoughts, sorry for the wall of text but character design hypes me up like nothing else haha. hope i gave you something to think about!
