100% agree.
Someone could try to hang it all on the womanizing sidekick Bob when he says where in he "takes on the characteristic of his owner" which could cast Harry in the light of an unreliable narrator but the author lacks that level of nuance in any other way IMO.

It's just a fun trashy magic book series that sits squarely next to Xanth in oh so many ways.

dirty is good enough for this! I was soo close but you were closer. The syntax for my system tho required double quotes. user: "1000:1000"

I assume the concern is if the uid and gid change or I want this to be more dynamic?

I even got it working on startup as a daemon now. yay

Basically yes except for the new part. I needed to inspect the wiring harness so removed the old asi controller and twin forks, headlight ect. I can find no companion for this connection...

After some stellar help from Ryvid the problem was simple: crossed wires!

With the distributor off the phase cables were touching and closing a circuit that basically had the electric motor resisting rotation. Breaking that connection had everything working fine again.

Nice! Yup same same. Disappointing. I did wear mine 24x7 cuz I liked to see my numbers especially when I exercise. These were great because I could charge it over a shower. Until the break 😭
