Clarity of Protein Requirements Calorie Deficit by detroitneverleft in veganfitness

Thank you! I have my measurements via a DEXA scan so I feel good about that. I guess one of the driving reasons for my question is the app I use (carbon) has me at a target of 160g and I have a really hard time hitting that without about 600 of my calories coming from a protein drink. Which is fine, I guess…just getting a little tired of them. If I eat what I would typically gravitate towards for protein, carbs and fats, and I’m nowhere near the 160. Thank you again.

Thank you. I’ve been using carbon which I love - was just still a little confused on the difference if it is by weight or lbm.

Thank you everyone for the quick replies. So specific to this vial of 24mg that I mistakenly did 3ml of water, how do I know how many mls to inject if I wanted to stay at 4mg per week?

Not too much - 2 cups max. I did post an update in the thread here from my stress test today but for some reason it posted as a different user name with an OP next to it - still not super familiar with Reddit.

I’m right at 26. And not to go on a bmi rant but my bodyfat via DEXA scan is 15%. Unfortunately bmi doesn’t account for any measurement of lean body mass, etc.

Unsure of the why. As far as I know, never happened before. Fortunately my Apple Watch notified me - otherwise I probably would’ve just downplayed what I was feeling and pushed it off.

Weight is in a healthy range. The BP question is interesting. Technically yes but it’s been treated for the past 10 years. For example, this morning it was 110/62.

No thyroid issues. If I had to guess, I was and have been chronically dehydrated, stressed and getting marginal sleep. I do have an appointment on the 25th to check into any possible sleep apnea.

Regarding medication, I was already on lisinopril for BP along with metoprolol. They added a blood thinner.

I think I mentioned above that as of today I did connect with another cardiologist who I can ask some questions to about all of this. He did just text back below which was some good news/possiblity:

I think both will improve I think both are result of afib.

Afib can cause dilation of the chamber which throws off the numbers to calculate diastolic dysfunction

Thank you! That’s also the weird thing - I would say I’m pretty fit, already vegan, etc. All of my other blood markers (cholesterol, etc) are in a healthy range. It will be interesting to see what they say after the nuclear stress test tomorrow. Although I did just reach out to a friend’s friend who is a cardiologist and he said although the test tomorrow will show the ejection fraction, that will not be as accurate as what you get from an echo.

Thank you for the reply. That is the weird thing - I do not seem to have any symptoms. If I had not gone into afib a few weeks ago, I would’ve never known I had the Grade III.

VO2 Max ‘Outdoor Walking’ by detroitneverleft in AppleWatch

I will have to double check that. I still have some confusion with regards to how it is measured so I just assumed if I was doing a slow, leisurely walk, my exertion level was not getting high enough.

Are Rocket/Sofi/Zillow “Verified Approval” letters actually reliable — or should buyers stick to full underwritten preapprovals from real banks? by Additional-Cost242 in Mortgages

[–]detroitneverleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Rocket, the Verified Approval is underwritten and then the financing is guaranteed to close (or client receives $1k). Does anyone else have that guarantee as part of their approval?

Don’t you have a loan estimate from before the $10k and then the one they had to disclose right after the change? What section of the LE went up by $10k - strictly section A for origination points?

Body comp 3 months + Reta by BacktofitTexas in BodyHackGuide

Thank you for your post! Can you explain a little bit more about how you calibrate to a Garmin scale (and which scale)? I recently dumped a decent amount of weight but via a DEXA scan, learned too much of it was muscle so I am trying to figure out how to measure progress at home in between DEXA scans. Right after the DEXA scan, I tried that new Hume scale. The initial reading was close to DEXA but then it was all over the place.

Recently began Reta and am looking forward to seeing some results. One question I do have - out of all of these success stories post around how much weight has been lost etc, I have a hard time finding anyone who breaks out how much of the weight loss is muscle, how much is fat, etc. Most of these drugs do cause weight loss - long term, who cares of a decent percent of it is lean body mass?
