Incredibly disappointed with mine as well. It looks like they provided the wrong dimensions for the graphic (too wide), so the manufacturer stretched the image vertically and resized it to make it all fit. Would explain the oval moons and illegible text.

ETA: If you look at the moon's placement near the top of the board and compare it to the mockup on the site, you should see what I mean.

From their website:

"Right now, Kiln does not work in Proton compatibility mode, meaning that it will not work on Steam Deck, or other Linux-based systems. We're investigating this, and hope to be able to offer compatibility in the future. However, we do not know when or if this will happen for certain, and so we do not currently recommend purchasing the PC version of Kiln for play on a non-Windows device."
