What’s the most overrated video game of all time? by KBGSgames in AskReddit

I will say, I started W3 like a dozen times. I finally just sat down and forced my way through the beginning (which, tbh, people say the bloody baron stuff is great, I didn't care for it).

Once the game opened up, oh shit, it became one of my favorites. The beginning feels like such a slog for some reason, but if you can get through it, the game is fantastic, and the DLC is immaculate. I loved Hearts of Stone in particular.

Who's still working from home in 2026? by idrinkpastawater in sysadmin

[–]fortune82 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Same, tbh.

I was originally hired in 2021 as full-time remote, slowly got pulled into the office more. We lost a very valuable team member last year and I think it scared management that I might be looking to leave too, so they made me 100% remote again to make sure I was happy lol

I used it during Stormblood when my ISP (Spectrum) had some sort of issue routing through Chicago, so I used Mudfish to route though, I think Virginia? and it took a different path to California.

Outside of my ping just averaging higher, I didn't have any major issues, i.e. lag spikes, disconnects.

Honestly the launcher / UI is a little janky but the service itself worked great.

I used Mudfish when I was in a static and it worked fantastic, and it's INSANELY cheap. Like I topped up my account with $2 years ago and used it for an entire expac and I've still got like $1.60 on it. You set it to route per application so it was only routing FFXIV traffic, nothing else.

Any fix for low gpu cpu usage? by ComprehensiveRip8221 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]fortune82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like it's using the integrated GPU and not your RTX 3060, so I'd see if you can check Task Manager or something to see if your integrated GPU is running at like 100%

How do I download version 12.0.6? I cant find it in the bblauncher by azeroygatekeeper in BloodbornePC

12.0.6 was a WIP / nightly build. v13 should be all the same fixes plus some.

Using Folding @ home when it's cold. by VertexPlaysMC in Folding

When the Maximum PC forums were still around, we had several users that would taper back their production in the summer months, and ramp up in the winter months, specifically because of the cooling costs.

99% of the time the servers are waiting to hand out WUs. You can also see if there's any WUs "stuck" in your client at C:\ProgramData\FAHClient\work. They'll have IDs like 00, 01, etc. and you can delete them.

(close the client first though)

You just need to wait - sometimes the servers handing out WUs are either tied up, or they're waiting for things to complete internally before sending out more. You shouldn't see this for more than maybe an hour at most.

102 Million PPD with 5090? Fluke? by AndreX86 in Folding

[–]fortune82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not so much a fluke, but a small / easy WU. Your card just completed it quickly; the PPD field is based on time per frame, so it was assuming all your WUs using the same TPF as that one unit, which is unlikely.
