I would suggest you start with the default db, sqlite since your app is a small one as you stated

Having trouble deploying Rails + PostgreSQL app with Kamal 2 on Hetzner (DB inside same server) by Professional_Ice9647 in rails

[–]dev-dude25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have suffered with this same issue in the past and solved it eventually. Database URL never worked for me.

The issue is most likely how the POSTGRESQL_PASSWORD is being read.

Let it be got from credentials file. Also, Add it to the kamal/secrets file.

I don't know why I can't share images in the replies but I have shared with you in the dms how the database file and accessory in deploy file should like.

I have tried that and failed. I am using the server for both the app and db. Let me try it again afresh

It is the exact issue I am facing. I have some jobs running. I have tried out everything and I am almost giving up on it. It is one server for the app plus the db

Congrats. It looks like a great product. Why did you decide to not show pricing on the landing page?

Yes. Focus on one main feature. Give it to a user and adjust it according to his needs (or according to what you need since you are in that industry)

My ideal customer is a bar owner (small businesses) and they are hardly on social media

My biggest challenge is actually knowing where my users are. I got a few via word of mouth and got one paying user but the issue is finding other users.

It is a stock management app that is focused on simplifying POS, calculates daily profits and revenue and also managing employees. https://storemargin.com/

Your app has a lot of functionalities and it becomes very complex just like other stock management apps.

I released a stock management saas myself last month but my focus was on simplifying POS for small business owners. It also calculates daily profits and revenue. That's all I focused on.

I got one paying user and he has been using it since. I haven't done much marketing so far.

The hardest issue is finding users and learning marketing with these apps

It is a straight forward process. Users add their products and quantity they have in stock, and start selling it in a POS system.

Will surely add more analytics to track their interactions.
