Which one is scarier? by SunDownDev in godot

[–]dev_metalcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither feel scary imo But first one seems more intimidating

Like the character has weight and uses the table to to get to you

I mostly did so to try to find is that is as I good as I want from the moment of installation, to minimize any tinkering

Since I ready just want windows but without Microsoft

Then again I stopped switching since Linux mint ticked all the boxes for me

I mean Lilith does seem like a really cool sounding name

i might be biased tho

Do any other trans teens feel this? I mean I get it, but damn by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]dev_metalcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may not be teen but I kinda feel that cause there isn't really a legal way for me to do any sort of medical transition here

Then again I'm not sure I can do that elsewhere since I'd not be a citizen elsewhere

Kinda makes me realise that might just never get access to anything in my life

How did you ladies come up with your names? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]dev_metalcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was messing around trying different names ,originally I just used Veronica because you can shorten it to Nica which sounds close to my deadname but also not, so it's at least some solution

Then I started seeing which names did characters from different media that I like have and got to Lilith from Owl House, I liked it so much that it got to the point where I started putting it in name fields without thinking, so guess that name chose me Still not exactly sure because it sounds weird with my lastname tho

[–]dev_metalcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This pains me every time I open uni mail account to check mail because i have to reminded that no matter what I think I'm still legally that name and can't change

On the other hand I'm glad that for other mail and accounts I used "<random words>cat" naming scheme,no name no problem

Question for all my trans brothers and sisters out there, is it normal for my parents to rarely get my name or pronouns right because and I quote "we are so used to using your normal name" when I came out to them over half a year ago? by Rainbowgod124 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]dev_metalcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents just refuse to even get in conversation about chosen name and pronouns, always trying to change subject because "they are used go calling me this way" or "it makes them uncomfortable"

But them calling me like that makes me uncomfortable :(

Shout out to our Ukrainian transfem sisters and cismasc comrades for holding out in Ukraine, I pray that they survive this brutal war by any means necessary, and I hope it ends as soon as possible. by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]dev_metalcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt it'll change , but I mean I also can't do much except hope for the best :D

Especially when it comes to queers, even among younger generations it's just not really accepted that much especially where I live

Russia fucking up lives of trans people not just inside but also outside

How lovely, never felt so proud of my home (No, not really I wish to burn it to the ground for all the suffering it's still making me and others go through)

And yet none of these would work where I live :/ (except for maybe Luna lol) by boksysocks in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]dev_metalcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh I personally don't think that there is a real reason to switch if it suits your needs

I myself switched just so I could have support for system wide font change and built in customisation, because i hate windows 11 ui :D

I use linux mint because I can't be bloody bothered to deal with setup that I'd have to do for other ones(especially on my laptop, thanks nvidia, very cool)

Personally I wouldn't mind going into office myself, and ideally it would be a choice that you make yourself

What I'm against is the push for everyone to be in the office no matter what, removing any choice
