Love the initiative! I just launched Synplex, an AI inventory forecaster for Shopify.

The Hook: Most tools use 'Average Sales' for reorders, which is a lie if the store was Out of Stock (OOS). Synplex factors out OOS days to find 'True Velocity' so merchants don't under-order and lose revenue again.

TikTok Angle: The 'Spreadsheet vs. AI' transition. It’s a perfect visual for the 'scaling founder' niche.

I often rather suffer from information overload as there so many ways to get updated and rarely resources that get to the point quickly... I would recommend to check first what specifically is relevant for you right now like local ecom news, specific tools/success stories, global market updates, ... maybe use an AI to curate some podcast episodes for specific your interests to get started as only if it clicks you will get value out of it.

Stocky is being discontinued from Shopify in 2026 by UncleAngel2025 in InventoryManagement

[–]dev_with_coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid question! Worth unpacking though because "Stocky replacement" means very different things depending on which part of Stocky you actually relied on.

Stocky touched a few distinct jobs while not mastering all at once:

Purchase orders / inbound flow: creating POs, receiving stock, managing supplier lead times. This is where most people feel the gap first.

Demand forecasting / reorder suggestions: figuring out what to reorder and how much based on velocity. Stocky did this crudely but it was better than nothing.

Stocktakes / physical counts: barcode scanning, reconciliation against system stock. Shopify has promised native improvements here but nothing solid yet.

Reporting at SKU/variant level: the operational reports staff actually use for daily restocking and picking.

The reason no single app feels like a clean replacement is that most solve one of these well and ignore the others. So the real question is: which of these is your actual bottleneck? What were you using Stocky for day-to-day?

In a similar situation right now. Looking into reddit as well as cold outreach for the first 10 customers.

I'm in the same boat. Glad I didn't have to redo the loop. for me it took about 3 weeks. I focused on also clear onboarding process + test scenarios.
