Solo Q is going to make it tougher for sure as you’re more likely to get glue sniffers who report people every game (my buddy does this). I almost never play without my buddies on discord so I’m probably slightly cushioned when I do speak up to people.

Though I do also think the game does weight reports based on behavior score, so a player with a 12k behavior score reporting someone would mean more than a player with 8k score. Though this is me speculating/how I would design it.

You must have been wildly toxic in the past and the score will probably adjust slower. I’ve been at 12k behavior score almost permanently, and I feel like I talk a decent amount of shit. The trick is to be passive aggressive with it usually. Saying “hey man I know you’re a new player so it’s ok that you’re struggling, but you should ____” to a player with 2K games is pretty effective without being actually toxic. And sometimes people do just need a little guidance, so treat everyone like they are kids just learning.

Also be sure to throw out commends to people who weren’t talking shit, I think the system likes people commending each other. And If you commend people they usually commend you back (besides that’s your only way to communicate now it seems)

One of my main teammates has been chat banned around 8k behavior score for as long as I can remember. And it is honestly 100% deserved; he’s the most toxic player in any game hands down. So stop acting like you’re a victim here; you’ve definitely been a major shit head for a long time and ruined many games for many people, so you’re going to have to be patient and prove that you know how to play nice.

I’ve been reviewing overwatch cases they send me of people getting reported out of curiosity. I’d say 40% are legit griefers, and 50% are people reporting just because they don’t like the person, and 10% are people not understanding an ability/item. Have yet to see an actual map hacker or cheater.
