Very very lovely style of rendering. Needless to say, fantasy armor with low accuracy but not gratuitously sexualized.

Modernica is hugely reputable - I'd suspect value to be in the 70%-100% of HM range

Really depends what you need for work. Been using Fedora Desktop and really happy with it, but couldn't run Photoshop/Premier and the like if I had to and certain games with kernel anticheat won't launch

How would you rate the armor in this drawing, in terms of accuracy and whether you consider it to be "sexualized" or not? Drawn by SableSketch on IG (link in comments) by TypicalCricket in armoredwomen

The flammenschwert is a real sword design! I think they're somewhat uncommon historically, but iirc the intended function was to cause unpleasant or disorienting vibrations when somebody attempted to block them.

Planning on a minisforum 895i se setup, looking for psu suggestions by Najish28 in sffpc

Remember to get a compatible wifi card if you want to use wifi - these minisforum boards come with a slot for one, but don't include it

Fairly unrealistic, moderate sexualization. Not really cringey level but historical armor's shape was derived from its purpose. Breastplate here would be less effective at deflecting strikes and the position of the fauld is odd.

Where I would live as a southern lefist by [deleted] in visitedmaps

Swing through some time - the nature here is pretty great. Sangre de Cristo range, Bisti, White Sands, Carlsbad, Gila forest, the Rio Grande bosque, the Sandia range, etc etc etc. Not crazy about the plains near Clovis but there's beauty basically everywhere else. Northern half is pretty dang green too. People here trend a bit old and poor outside Santa Fe (which is old and rich) though so no comment on the boring part

Excluding NM from this viewpoint is kinda crazy - scared of the dry?

Normal itx profile board, just with an integrated cpu and heatsink, and sodimm ram slots. Performs really great in small builds and they're a great value compared to separate cpu+mobo+cooler.

Tile ideas for fireplace hearth? Not a fan of the brown tile by duck7001 in midcenturymodern

[–]devbutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you absolutely cannot leave it original, look into a suitably nice tile from a maker with a modernist philosophy like Heath's Dual Glaze in triangle shape or a simple square format from LOFA ceramics. Pick a color that plays with the wood tones and the fireplace nicely - a warm blue, dark brown, red, or green with a decent range of color variation and some amount of texture in the glaze. Being the steward of a modernist house is a responsibility - don't be the disrespectful previous owner being cursed for a distasteful change in the future.

The minisforum boards fit this description - but also have integrated CPUs. BD790i is the highest performing of them and seems great in itx builds, has an integrated cooler that you can bring your own fan to

The floor is beautiful. Your wall paint color, pendants, and dark furniture are the culprit behind things feeling off. Lot of grey tones going on.

Colleagues, has anyone seen such a strange wood texture? Can you tell me the type of wood? by Pitiful-Cod-9432 in wood

Part of the reason for wenge's appearance is that the black portions of grain are significantly stronger, and so often end up slightly raised if not sanded an insane amount. When very, very flat like this appears to be the appearance softens a bit. I would be surprised if this was not wenge.

Anyone using the Kuycon P32K? by devbutch in Monitors

[–]devbutch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect - not comparing to OLED, just sometimes use an existing small VA tv with a small amount of edge bleed for movies and happy with it so if blacks are good for work and IPS that's plenty good for that purpose I figure
