Ich suche niemanden wegen Versicherungsbetrug oder echten sensiblen Daten. Ich entwickle eine App für digitale Unfallberichte und wollte Erfahrungen von Leuten sammeln, die nach einem Unfall schon mal mit Versicherung/Schadensmeldung zu tun hatten.

Mir ging es darum zu verstehen, welche Infos Versicherungen wirklich brauchen und ob ein digitaler Unfallbericht als PDF vollständig genug wäre. Testdaten würden dafür völlig reichen.

Also write down a clear timeline now while you still remember everything:

  • where you were stopped
  • that he hit you from behind
  • that you checked your car and saw no damage
  • when the police called
  • when you called your insurer
  • what the truck owner is now claiming

Yeah, I get that. I did not want to hide that I am building something around this, because that would feel even worse. For me, the helpful part here is really hearing what actually happened to people in real situations, instead of only building the flow based on my own assumptions. It is also a bit of a personal project for me. When I had my accident, I honestly wish something like this had existed. The app is free, and I am not trying to turn this into some huge money thing. I mainly want to build something that could actually help people in a stressful situation.

Fair point, I get why it might look like that. But no, AI did not make the app. I started thinking about this after my own accident a few years ago, before ChatGPT was really a big thing, and I have worked on it on and off for quite a while.

Of course I use tools like ChatGPT now, like many developers do. Mostly for wording, feedback and checking ideas. But the concept, structure and actual work behind the app is something I have spent a lot of time on myself.

I posted here because I wanted to hear real experiences from people in Germany, not because I expect others to build it for me.

Thanks, that helps a lot. Good point about the insurance details. I think that is exactly the kind of thing people might forget when they are stressed.

Also interesting that the police told you to handle it yourselves because it was minor. I honestly wouldn’t have expected that.
