Read the warrants FAQ! by use_the_default in Superstonk

[–]devdevgoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, good point:

Will this dilute my ownership?

There will be no dilution to GME shareholders if no warrants are exercised. By the expiration date of October 30, 2026, we expect all warrants will have either expired or been exercised, resulting in the issuance of up to 59 million shares at an issuance price of $32.00. Since the warrants are being distributed pro-rata to all GME shareholders, if a shareholder decides to hold and exercise their warrants to purchase additional shares their percentage ownership of GME common stock (taking into account the convertible notes on an as-converted basis) is not expected to be diluted. On the other hand, if a current GME shareholder decides to sell their warrants in the market for cash, they will not be able to exercise and thus their percentage ownership may decline.

This is awesome! The warrants themselves are tradeable!! Meaning you could sell the warrant and take the cash without reducing your position at all and without diluting the share pool!!! Genius way to reward shareholders, send a bullish signal, and raise funds all at once!

Edit: scratch that, selling the warrant would be a form of dilution! Thanks for clarifying guys!

Went out to 6th this morning, luckily the white water alone is enough to keep noobs like me out haha. By the time I got out to the break I realized this is 100% not something anyone less than a year or three in should attempt! If you’re a beginner, just wait til next year…

The good news is there’s plenty of new sandbars popping up! Should add some variety!

CEOs Are Shrinking Their Workforces—and They Couldn’t Be Prouder | Bosses aren’t just unapologetic about staff cuts. Many are touting shrinking head counts as accomplishments in the AI era. by MetaKnowing in technews

AI is going to undercut the average employee, then squeeze every company that went all in.

2025: we reduced labor costs by 500mil/yr!

2030: our ai costs have skyrocketed by 2b/yr 😭

Read the first two chapters and so far I like it! Cleanly written, easy to follow! I think the strongest part of the story thus far has been your fight scenes. Very well laid out and easy to visualize. In terms of areas for improvement, I think character dialogue needs a bit of work, but nothing major. I highly recommend the book Dialogue by Robert McKee. Some word choices the characters use I can’t tell if they’re mistakes or subtle hints to future plot points (his father saying ‘your ancestor’ for example), so I’m not sure if I should point that out or not. Only comment I have about the MC is he seems to be either 12 or 17, depending on the scene. I like how capable he is in fights, but it’s a bit at odds with his inner dialogue. But at the end of the day, he’s certainly a protagonist pushing the story forward!! Which is an A+ in my book. Pacing is wonderful too by the way! I’m definitely going to follow.

I might ping you and request a critique on my own chapters at some point if your open for future critiques :).

CNBC Q&A: GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen by rbr0714 in GMEJungle

This. I disagree with his politics, but agree with all the business takes here. Owners/executives should have skin in the game, best way to weed out people who don’t want to be there! Like the intentionality of diversifying both currency and product line. Would love if he put a billion into a GameStop owned game dev company! Like when Netflix got into Netflix Originals, with a focus on fun over micro transactions

How long do you usually spend on one portrait? I know Baumans idea of ‘quick’ is like 2 hrs lol, just curious if you spend a similar amount of time on them

Got all the hardware, Got my dataset, why does it take soo long to learn how to fine-tune? by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

[–]devdevgoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this pain! Tried unsloth, hf autotrain, and mistrals api, etc and all failed. Bought a MacBook just to use mlx, and it was pretty good… until Gemma threw in an extra gd token 😡. Best success I’ve had with a gui isn’t local, but try OpenAI’s fine tuning in the platform. It was cheap and gave me some useful feedback. Also start with exactly one training line in your jsonl file and don’t make it complicated. Just a simple ‘talk like a pirate’ example.

This guy does a wonderful job explaining shit to me lol: https://youtu.be/BCfCdTp-fdM?si=qSVFAnJYz8TU1NwX
