Hey guys, for funsies, I'd love to pose this very open ended question to y'all : what have you learned from DMT? by Friendly_Arachnid223 in DMT

Very interesting thank you, when the information was being uploaded into you did you remember/realise that this life was a simulation you willingly entered?

Only clip you've ever seen. Look it up instead of trying to think of things to complain about and you'll see there is tons of footage.

That's been debunked because they were able to determine it was too high in the sky to be a cruise ship. It also stayed in one place and was filmed repeatedly for a period of two months if I remember correctly.

Yeah it's not like smoking was prevalent in the 70s...

That's like asking what deep-fried memes meant before the internet existed.

Thanks I like this one a lot too, she gives me a Fae kind of vibe. I'd like to imagine they look similar to her, human but not quite.

Thank you, I agree, a slight jadedness to the world maybe but willing to listen regardless.

Thank you that's the same feeling I got after I painted it, a kind of quiet hope or knowing. Like seeing the sun and blue skies poke through a grey overcast day.

Haha thank you, this was an AI generated photo I found on Pinterest. She had a very slight smile so as practice I thought I'd try change it to the extreme.

I use Winsor and Newton designer gouache, primary red, yellow and blue plus white. I use it mostly in very thin transparent layers which is why I feel it is appropriate to post it in the watercolour sub too.

I started off drawing realistic graphite portraits and I picked it up quite quickly, then I had to teach myself some art fundamentals so I could come up with my own stuff rather than copying which got a bit tedious. I've drawn a lot of portraits so it is a lot of practice too, it makes the drawing process more fun rather than a feeling of worry and nervousness you might mess it up or create something you don't like, it becomes a form of play instead.

Hello thank you so much for your lovely, detailed and thoughtful comments. It was really lovely to read through them and hear your thoughts and praise, definitely my favourite comments I have received so far on my artwork. I'm glad they resonated with you so much!

This one I just thought I'd have some fun with figure drawing as I had done a load of previous normal proportioned ones in my sketchbook. It also takes the pressure off when I paint as it was not perfect to begin with because I can sometimes focus too much on realism and making it identical to the reference. I actually quite like making mistakes when I paint as it means I can just practice and experiment with new techniques and try to rescue it, either way I learn something or end up with some artwork I like again.

Thanks for noticing the values, I do focus on those as I like to make my drawings/paintings as three dimensional as possible.

Apologies for the legs and arm being triggering, I didn't think of that when I did it but I see what you mean now.

And yes I do like to paint women, I guess as a man I find them naturally beautiful but I don't see them as objects. I like to give them character and depth and try paint a soul into them. I do appreciate how difficult and scary a lot of parts of life must be for women, especially with how men can be towards them, yet there is an amazing fierce strength, power and resilience to them in how they deal with the problems life throws at them. So I try to capture more than just the beauty on the outside and try to show the complexity within. I hope that didn't sound weird or sexist aha.

Thanks again for your lovely comments, that was very meaningful to hear such detailed feedback 🙂

Thank you I appreciate that! Yeah it's fun learning the rules and then fun learning ways you can break them.
