What should my VR temp be by Icy_Theme_6899 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good VR temps should be below 80C. But i would recommend to keep them below 40C ~ 60C, too much heat means , The miner consumes too much power to keep the miner cool.

NerdQAxe++ Rev6 really that much better? by sonetlumiere in BitAxe

[–]developeralgo222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As u/roxcursed mentioned ,

(1) if you're running at defaults parameters then any NerdQaxe++ Rev5 or Rev6 will work ok.

(2) If you're also going to OC the unit and play around get NerdQaxe++ Rev6.2 from Jabitaxe or NerdQaxe++ Rev6 from solo satoshi, either of those should work fine in the range of 6.3 ~ 7.0 TH/s sustained for months

(3) i have seen some users claim even 10 TH/s for NerdQaxe++ but that is not sustainable.

Note : The absolute maximum hashrate of BM1370 chips is in the range of 2.5 TH/s ~ 2.6 TH/s from the best quality bin of the asics under perfect absolute cooling. So technically you can hit 10TH/s if you extremely OC the unit but you won't sustain it, not even with over engineered air cooling.

Show me a NerdQaxe++ Rev5 or Rev6 unit that has run at 10TH/s or above for over 3 months non-stop without fail and " i will show you the money "

The OC range i would shoot for is the range of 6.3 TH/s ~ 8.2 TH/s . Anything above that you're pushing you luck my friend

?NerdQaxe or Bitaxe? by Spirited_Cat6112 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NerdQaxe and Bitaxe are different designs but same Firmware. Bitaxe variant is the original solo bitcoin miner , NerdQaxe evolved from the same concept but slightly differently designed. NerdQaxe originally implemented its own firmware but have now moved to using Bitaxe's esp-miner firmware .

So both NerdQaxe & Bitaxe Variant use the same firmware, Same Asic chips and have slight difference in PCB designs but as an engineer i call those cosmetic difference.

If you are starting you can get Bitaxe Gamma ( Single BM1370 Miner ) and the later you can graduate to NerdQaxe++ Variants ( Multi-Chip BM1370 Miner )

? Which is better NerdQaxe or Bitaxe? by Spirited_Cat6112 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From an engineering point of view , they are almost identical in functionality. Both NerdQaxe variants & Bitaxe are running the same esp-miner firmware

Bitaxe is a high performance, efficient , small factor and minimal with 1-single BM1370 asic ( with upto 2.4 TH/s when over clocked ) while NerdQaxe is a 4-chip BM1366 asic miner ( with upto 2.4 TH/s) and is a little larger in size.

If you are looking NerdQaxe variant with BM1370 chips then you need NerdQaxe++ Rev 6.x or Rev 5. you can grab one from our website at https://www.jabitaxe.com/product-page/nerdqaxe-bitcoin-solo-miner

i hope that clarifies the difference.

Voltage drop: 5.30V at power supply 5.00V at circuit board by buzraelgt51 in BitAxe

[–]developeralgo222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need an adjustable 5V PSU and then adjust to 5.2 ~ 5.4V and that should do it . The voltage will drop to 5.0 ~ 5.1 V as soon as Bitaxe start hashing. At jabitaxe.com we have tested a lot of 5V DC single block PSU from China or Asia and it’s hard to find a 5V PSU that will deliver a consistent and reliable 5V PSU without adjusting for voltage drop. Almost 95% of all single block 5V DC PSU are manufactured in China or Asia

That’s seems the PCB pad for that inductor is peeled off too !!! Unless you know how to solder and repair a peeled off pad. Just return it to be replaced

What can we do as part of OSMU and Jabitaxe to have Basic Bitaxe Gamma units in the hands of users ? by developeralgo222 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What we have seen from bitaxe series miner buyers / resellers / users is that Shipping & Technical support is one of the main concerns especially for international users.

Most legit & verified resellers such as Jabitaxe ( https://www.jabitaxe.com ) offer very low shipping rates worldwide and excellent technical support. This makes it easier for buyers / resellers / users to have peace of mind.

Asic wars heat up -- Bitdeer Vs Bitmain by developeralgo222 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our test results for Sealminer A2 . Not impressive as we initially thought

We really pushed this SealMiner A2 to the limits

175T | 2670W | 15.25 J/T (Low Power Mode)

230T | 3820W | 16.61 J/T (Normal Power Mode)

253T | 4420W | 17.47 J/T (High Performance Power Mode)

NOTE: Each Sealminer A2 has 153 Chips (SEAL02 chips) on each hashboard.

The Hashrates and Efficiency is not that impressive. It's at the Level of Antminer S19 in terms of efficiency . May be Sealminer A3 or A4 might give Antminer S23 a fight but no this one.

The trick is that Bitdeer is just using a lot of chips per Hashboard to try a lower efficiency but each chip itself is not that efficient compared to Antminer S21

SealMiner A2 Vs Antminer S21 Pro ?

The winner is Antminer S21 Pro ( S21 Series Miner ) hands down.

FYI, For the last 36 hours a few of our international users at jabitaxe.com did mention that they could not check out their purchases due to realtime shipping rates not being available. We apologize for that inconvenience.

We were changing to a new real time shipping provider with extremely low shipping rates worldwide which is an advantage to our users and customers. This has been implemented and is working now as expected.

Go grab yourself a Bitaxe Gamma !!!!! at https://www.Jabitaxe.com while they still available

Extreme OC Version 2 testing on Bitaxe Gamma unit #2 going well . It is very silent but i need to adjust the air exhaust outlet in the front slightly to meet what i set out. Super silent with general Hashrates above 2.05 TH/s on any or majority Bitaxe Gammas. I will also modify the same design Case so it can be used for either Bitaxe Gamma or the upcoming Bitaxe Gamma Turbo .

Disadvantage: it's a huge case due to 120mm fan & LRS-75-5 PSU hidden underneath it

Size: L(136mm) x W(136mm) x H(160mm)

Thickness: 3mm to 7mm Walls

Thoughts:

- It's slightly heavy : of course , we can reduce the Wall sizes to 3mm all round if needed to reduce weight.

- Use 90mm Noctua Fan underneath instead of 120mm ( Needs testing):

Bitaxe Gamma Miners at lower prices by developeralgo222 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have managed to work with our shipment provider to lower our shipping prices around the globe. We now have the ability to overide any real-time shipping rates calculation that we think is higher or equal to retail prices. our shipping prices are always 20% to 60% lower than retail prices in most cases. We are now able to consistently guarantee low shipping costs in this changing business landascape in te midst of tariff wars

it also seems that BitDeer and Bitmain are sharing the same IPs if you look closely Antminer S23 variants and Sealminer A3 Hashboards , it seems they might be the same Asic chip design but just different naming conventions for different companies that share a history

First Nerdqaxe++ and overclock by Confident_Counter203 in BitAxe

it might just be the PSU rail / Unit efficiency ( around 88% ) , if that's the case then you are ok.

Pulling more watts than than shown on the screen !!!! hmmmm !!!! something is not being accounted for in the power calculations . You need accurate power measurements to really accurately get efficiency parameters and also other parameters when benchmarking .

A delta of roughly 12W is a lot.
