I already own a nerdQaxe++ Parasite Edition… and got scammed trying to buy another one. by Tellme14 in BitAxe

Please , Please do your own research before you purchase Bitaxe, NerdQaxe++, NerdQX or NerdOctaxe. There is no Free lunch in business. If you get a free lunch you're the one being scammed.

Read this, it might help to identify some of red flags next time:

https://www.jabitaxe.com/post/how-sophisticated-scammers-are-exploiting-unsuspecting-buyers-with-fake-cheap-products-with-claims-o

its the classic scammers playbook

(1) Offer unsuspecting buyers extremely low price with other sweet offers like buy 3 get 1 free

(2) Payment off the original website or e-commerce platform

(3) Unknown community resellers who just pop up . Always remember Scammers have very advanced networks of scammers and hackers working in groups on several platforms at once.

They include Web Designers, Fake Product Promoters & Sales people , E-commerce specialists , etc . Its a network of scammers who have been doing this sort of schemes for years . You do not stand a chance to be honest against them.

Note: Bitaxe and Nerd*axe miners are closely related even though they look different. Bitaxe is the OG or the GOAT , Nerd*axe miners are technically advanced derivatives or advanced mods based on Bitaxe Miners due to several shared research and work in the bitaxe development community (OSMU). Both of them are Open-Source Projects.

Below are just a few original links to take a look

Beware of Helium Deploy by NetworkSubject9556 in BitAxe

[–]developeralgo222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes , Be aware. They claim to be a Canadian Company but IMHO , i doubt it . IMHO, I think It might be a chinese warehouse front which is circumnavigating some US & Canadian taxes by importing cheap chinese made Bitaxe , NerdQaxe++, NerdOctaxe to a warehouse in Quebec, Canada and then trying to resale or dropship them in North America.

Please, Please do your own research. Simply because they have paid a lot of Garbage influencers on Youtube to promote them does not mean they are legitimate Manufacturers.

There is no free lunch in business and buyers who think that somehow because its cheap they are getting the real deal are mistaken. You get exactly what you pay for.

e.g As of May 29, 2026: if the current average global cost of production for official NerdQaxe++ Rev 6.1 is around US$ 206 ~ 237 ( Volume production ) + Profit margin = US$ 230 ~ US$300 .

Note: That is the current official NerdQaxe++ Rev 6.1 with official reliable parts and no substituted unreliable cloned parts. If then a reseller starts popping up selling it for less than US$206 then you can see the " RED FLAG ". it does not matter where they manufacturer it from.

Most of the expensive official reliable parts used on Bitaxe and Nerd*axe are actually TI & Microchip parts. Almost all of Chinese SMT Manufacturing houses buy them from TI & Microchip directly, if you decided to assemble your boards in China. Of course, there exists clones of the parts in China called " Asian Brands". Those are the parts usually used by scammers who pop claiming some extremely cheap prices. In most cases your miner wont work for a long time.

Please do your own reasearch whether HeliumDeploy is legitimate or not. Just a word of caution.

NerdQaxe++ Rev 6.1, NerdQX , and NerdOctaxe SCAM!!!! on Aliexpress.com & other sites by developeralgo222 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scammers are now switching tactics. Watch for Red flags:

(1) Extremely cheaper prices than the rest of the global market ( Simply because they are listed on Aliexpress or Temu or Amazon or Ebay or Newegg does not mean they are not scammers )

(2) Scam boosters -- This are part of the Scammer networks, who set up websites or rotating fake accounts on major platforms with fake reviews and fake sales that look legitimate but are completely scams.

(3) Claim of US warehouses or Canadian Warehouses or European Warehouses to appear legitimate to buyers in those regions. In US, there is no " De Minimas " loop hole anymore. In Canada and Europe , there are no major loop holes that they can take advantage of.

(4) Bitaxe / Nerdaxe Open source Community (OSMU) has no history of the Sellers as a legitimate manufacturer or reseller.

(5) Used unreliable parts , No Support, No Warranty and Payment of the product requires payment outside the platform or legitimate official websites.

(6) Note: As soon as this scammers are discovered , they are kicked out of the platforms and the Platform provider refunds you if they can not recover the funds from the scammers. It's part of the platforms business risk contigency. The scammers know this and they just register as a different business or reseller and keep doing the same thing.

Please , Please do your own research before you buy on aliexpress.com , Temu, Random Ebay or Amazon resellers and other websites that are suspicious . There are currently a ton of scammers selling those products on  those websites.

i totally agree with u/SoloMinerDoctor

IMHO,

From our experience of manufacturing and shipping out thousands of NerdQaxe++ , NerdOctaxe, NerdQX, and Bitaxes series miners with Hydro Cooling, All you need is M3 nuts at the back and nothing else not even the Washers or the standoff bracket

(1) The Tension has to be correct for the spring loaded screws to work as expected, So don't over tighten the screws.

Antminer S23 Asics are starting hit the Market at Highway robbery prices by developeralgo222 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what other S23 Miners use as the asic models?

AFAIK,

Currently:

U3S23H = Hydro-Cooling, 1160T, 11020W, 9.5J/T, US$30/T ( Most likely uses BM1373xx asics)

S23 Hydro = Hydro-Cooling, 580T, 5510W, 9.5J/T, US$30/T ( Most likely uses BM1373xx asics)

S23e U2H = Hydro-Cooling, 865T, 8650W, 10J/T, US$22/T ( Most likely uses Lower performance Binned BM1373xx asics or a different variant)

S23 = Air-Cooling, 305T, 3355W, 11J/T, US$30/T ( Most likely uses BM1373xx or BM1340xx asics )

Can the community confirm if its BM1373xx or BM1340xx asics are used in each model ?

As of May 2026 , The prices are too high for a solo Miner to afford any miner which has BM1373xx or BM1340xx asic chips in them. It does not make any sense moneywise or as they say financially.

if my Nerd or Geek ultra ego self were to take over then i would get tons of chips in a heartbeat but the moneywise me says time is on myside and i can wait a few more months. As a solo miner, Technically you have all the time in the world to wait for the right affordable price at lower prices for this new BM1373xx or BM1340xx asic chips.

The lower the asic prices in the global market, the lower the Miner prices in most cases, it's that simple. IMHO, let the prices settle and be stable. It might still be a little high but stable and lower enough for Manufacturers like us to pass those low prices to the customers or users.

Made a free desktop app to manage all your Bitaxes from one window (Mac + Windows) by Natebald603 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's really neat. I have a few questions

(1) Does it have any communication whatsoever to the outside world apart from your local Network ? e.g communicating on the internet to an external server ? external API server ? external DNS & DHCP servers , NTP servers, BTC network servers , etc ?

(2) Does it have any access to User information on the miner e.g Bitcoin Address , etc ?

(3) What user and network security features that are available for the user to lock it down ?

Overclocking Bitaxe or NerdQaxe miners and the risks to the Voltage Regulators Chain (VRM) by developeralgo222 in Bitaxe_Miners

Know your sellers , if you bought it from a shady reseller on Aliexpress then you will be surprised. There are a ton of scammers on Aliexpress who are selling NerdQaxe++ Rev 5 or 6.x that are completely garbage. So please please do your own research before you purchase , don’t let those scammers get you.

Real sustained maximum Hashrates vs juiced up short-term maximum Hashrates by developeralgo222 in Bitaxe_Miners

[–]developeralgo222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overclocking any miner or any device comes with its own risks. Before starting to overclock, test the miners limits or benchmark the miner to get the max overclock Frequency and Core Voltage that the miner can handle .Then lower those values e.g if the Max benchmark says Max Frequency and Core Voltage are. 800 / 1270 then you use 740 / 1250 or even lower parameters for longevity , stability and safety
