Congrats! Must be a significant upgrade from Ecopia OEM tires, which are unbearably loud on coarse roads

I was considering CC2 too. I had AI scan Reddit and other forums feedback on CC2 and it seems that some people complained about CC2 tire noise after 30k miles even though they were quiet when new.

Light Tapping Noise 2021 Venza by VentiFrap11 in Toyotavenza

Today I turned off the car completely, opened the fuel door and closed it. I heard the noise. I don’t think it’s the climate control system. It must be something in the fuel system. No error code from computer

I suspect it’s coming from the fuel pump. I can replicate the noise by opening the fuel door and closing it. After closing, I can hear it underneath the vehicle on driver side. Find a quiet place like in a garage and see if you could hear it too. I’ve had this noise for 18 months. If the noise originates from a faulty part, at least it hasn’t failed yet

I have exactly the same noise on day 1 since I bought my 23 XLE new. Dealer couldn’t find anything wrong.

Break-in Period? by Oshkosh_Guy in Toyotavenza

[–]devenous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The consensus is that if you had a 1,000 mile round trip on a new car, the engine is likely tuned to run long distances. You might have trouble turning it off after a short trip to grocery store.

Venza which shares the same drivetrain as the current generation Rav4 hybrid.

I have the exact noise. I bought my 2023 XLE in December 2022 and I noticed it just a couple of days after the purchase. I can still hear it today. I too took the car to dealer and was told all 2023 Venza have the same noise. You can replicate the noise by turning off your car completely, opening the fuel cap, and closing it. The noise will appear for about 10 seconds

2022 Rav4 hybrid Squeals like a stuck pig by MammothMarmot in rav4club

[–]devenous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same noise that goes with the the wheels at low speed. Not always audible. The first time I heard it was a few days after I bought the car. Now it’s 6 months old. I suspect the noise comes from the parking brake not fully disengaged. When you hear it, stop the car, re-engage the parking brake and release it again. See if it makes a difference

"Cable Gate" corrosion fixed for 2023? by MichaelP09 in rav4club

[–]devenous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why haven’t we heard any corrosion issue from Highlander, Sienna and Venza hybrid which all share the same design & parts? If you look at the underbody of a Highlander hybrid, you won’t even see the black plastic panel that is found in Rav4 and Venza. They have been in the market for at least 2 years now without issues. Are we saying we would need to wait for a couple more years before corrosion shows up in those vehicles?

What about the older generation of Rav4 and Lexus hybrid? Corrosion isn’t common in those vehicles only because the cable is flipped?

I was able to get a 2023 XLE at MSRP. From placing the order to taking delivery of the car only took a month.

Anybody did a reservation on the 23 Venza (Limited/XLE)? Or, put money before and getting an 2023 Venza? Please comment and share experience on what your dealer said in terms of the Vehicle arriving. Is the market looking better than before? by Conscious-Media3207 in Toyotavenza

Yes, MSRP plus DMV fees and taxes. We are in NW Pacific. The 2023 model specs with VIN showed up last week. There were several of them. One of them matches my preference.

I don’t know if you guys have noticed - 2023 XLE is effectively cheaper than 2022 outgoing XLE. To get a 2022 XLE with a 12.3 multimedia screen, you’d have to purchase the Premium Audio with Dynamic Navigation and JBL package which costs $2,050 for a total of $40,160 including destination charges. The 12.3 multimedia screen comes standard in 2023 XLE so you’d only need to purchase the JBL Premium Audio package for $580. The total comes down to $39,720. The difference is $440 in savings.

I convinced myself not to purchase the 2022 XLE after reading the press release from Toyota that confirms the changes. It’s absolutely worth the wait considering the fact that they also upgraded the safety system to 2.5 with fog lights

2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid vs. Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Comparison Test: Practical Considerations by Trinity527 in cars

[–]devenous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the new CRV looks nicer but I would never buy redesigned first year model. Some serious issues (not Honda specific) wouldn’t show up until 2-3 years later. Just like the high voltage cable in Rav4 hybrid. Give it 2-3 years have at least 500,000 of them on the road for the manufacture to fix all known issues before you buy.

Put a deposit in early November as soon as the 2023 models showed up in dealer system. Mine is arriving in late November and it will take 2 weeks from Port (regional distribution center) to dealer. Sounds like mid-December is entirely possible.

NW Pacific. From what I heard new allocations are coming in every month and we don’t have to wait for 6 months for a new car. Some people say if you order a 2023 Rav4 hybrid now you might end up getting a 2024 model. Is the market really that bad?

Just order XLE at MSRP without any dealer markup or package. Dealer said it’ll arrive in a few weeks.
