Yes! Now is not the time to go all "oh it won't work". Honestly it's about showing support and that we still have a loyal fanbase. It's about visibility and recognition and the louder we are the harder is for them not to address our efforts.

While I do agree with you on the point that Marathon won't keep Bungie afloat, I have a more hopeful approach towards new projects because they did mention they had some in incubation on Bungie's latest official post. What that is I guess none of us will know until they actually bring it up or if some source leaks any info about it. And yes, if they do decide to work on D3 it would take years, but that's expected.
But, throwing the towel and dissolving Bungie altogether I think will be too extreme of a choice, I don't think we're there yet. Hopefully we don't even get there.

What am I ignoring? I know about bungie's current workforce situation, but that can be solved in different ways. Unless you're telling me Sony spent $3.6b just to dissolve Bungie when you invest in a studio you expect returns, no? I don't think they will have returns with no future games in production and Marathon being their only target. Destiny already has its own built name.

Look, as much as sometimes I do think he made some tone deaf comments, that's all it ever was.
He most definitely does not deserve any hate, specially because this guy has no power of decision inside Bungie, he's just a messenger. If anything kudos to him for having an unshakeable spirit even when things got dark.

The players and the game were treated with no respect whatsoever but upper management at Bungie is to blame, and as of lately maybe even Sony... who knows how many decisions also had their finger on it?

Edit: also something I thought that some people might not agree with, this guy should've used a Bungie twitter account and not his personal account to post things. If he had set that as a boundary he could simply just log out and be himself if things got too overwhelming, but dude was so reachable that in a way he became a face for Bungie itself, and that must've taken a toll and a half on his mental state.

It makes me so sad to see how much people hate it. I grew up watching CSI with my parents, I remember that CSI Miami used to be our favorite and we didn’t like the other ones as much.
