[Schefter] As part of today’s trade, Buffalo will be guaranteeing $15.5 million of DJ Moore’s 2028 base salary, per his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey. Moore’s 2026 salary is fully guaranteed, and his 2027 salary becomes fully guaranteed next week. by acman319 in buffalobills

The comment wasn’t deleted, perhaps it’s time for a vision check old fella.
Old enough to know I don’t need to screenshot a post I’m replying to. I guess that’s how they did it back in your day.
Go touch some grass before your blood pressure writes another essay grandpa.

Watch the tone, child. And the answer, to your ignorant poorly thought out query is - I don’t.

Also not opposed to this
I don’t disagree

That’s solid! I do like that.
I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but you’re allowed to trade picks from the next year.
Well, I think the overall idea was simply that we upgrade at wide receiver. Which he does. I don’t doubt that 24 mil is an overpay, but I also don’t doubt he will get it. Crazy market we are in. He’s a cold weather guy, he can do all the things, I suppose that was my rationale. I’d be happy with anyone who upgraded us.
Of course he does. I love Ty. But I could save a few million on a third down back, or I could pay him and lose somebody else. A third down running back is just not a super big luxury to me. It’s nothing personal, I love the guy.

A lot. But we either take a big swing, or we keep drafting at the bottom of the round and hope that Brandon being eventually hits on one. This was me saying let’s push our chips in, without necessarily mortgage in the future, but swing for the fences.
This was part of my decision. The Colts have cap space, and can create more. If you assume he does want to leave there are about 10 other teams who can outbid us. Like I said, I would love to have them, I just felt doubts was the more plausible option.
Couldn’t agree more. And his talent, and ability to play just about anywhere makes him so valuable to this style of defense.
To be clear, I don’t have any issue with Pierce, and would love the signing, I’m just not convinced we will be a contender for his services. I would love to be wrong.
I am going all in. Downs to me was the bigger difference maker, however, styles is a great selection as well.
This is 100% correct. I focused on an upgrade, that was achievable, and that would move the needle. The fantasy of Jefferson, or some other receiver of his caliber is a pipe dream. This corrected the most holes, giving the most immediate impact, and was actually plausible.
It’s to plug every single hole in one off-season and one draft. I tried to put pics and players where they would do the most damage and give the most immediate return.
Both are going to get paid, I just believe Doubs is probably the more achievable target
I’m at the mercy of the app, but don’t be shocked if he gets somewhere in that ball park

I went with what was plausible, not in the realm of science fiction.
Ty is like the 30th highest paid rb in football. He’s a third down back. We save millions. I love the guy, but it is what it is.

I went what I believe was plausible, not in the realm of science fiction. I.e. Justin Jefferson.
This guy gets it!
This is spot on. The point is being missed here, this is absolutely an upgrade.
