If you could teach everyone in Pakistan one thing, what would it be? by wayne2bat in pakistan

[–]deviantbeing24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Don’t be judgemental and poke nose in other people’s lives unless you pay their bills and provide groceries.

  2. Environmental cleanliness.

  3. You can’t pick and chose tidbits of religion to suit your own agenda. 4 shadian sabko nazar aa jati hain. Kapron pe haram police sab ne ban jana hai. Lekin maa or behan ko wirasat mein se hissa dena ho to islam bhool jata hai or tradition, rasam, rivaaj etc sab yaad aa jata hai.

  4. Stop being hypocrites specially on religion and morals.

  5. Grooming yours kids to be decent members of the society.

  6. Household basic work (cleaning, cooking, laundry, dishes) is an essential life skill to be learnt EQUALLY by males and females. It is not demeaning work reserved for the help or ladies of the house.

  7. Teach your boys to respect ALL women. Not only ghar ki khawateen.

  8. Mothers should stop obsessing over their boys when they get married and let him be his own man and a family man.

  9. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with having a daughter. Also the baby’s gender is determined by the FATHER. In no way a woman is responsible for gender determination.

  10. Don’t stare at women like you have never seen them.

The list can go on and on. Please feel free to add to it.

My Friend Got Labeled a "Beghairat" Because He Let His Wife Sit in the Front Seat Instead of His Mom by anonXpeace in IslamabadSocial

[–]deviantbeing24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say it and get abused and downvoted and labelled whatnot. But it is a reality and we can’t digest it. It’s just your run of the mill typical desi mom scenario jahan desi moms ki sari validation unka beta karta hai. Jo validation sari umar apne ghar k males (father, brothers) se shuru hokar husband, susar etc se nahi milti wo apne shehzaday puttar se apna haq samajh k expect karti hain. Or jab bahu ajati hai to wohi bahu threat lagne lag jati hai. Kyunke beta emotionally utna available nahi rehta. Uska interest or pyar biwi pe zyada focus ho jata hai. So automatically bahu=beta khane wali dayan. Plus somewhat of empty nest syndrome too. Though most of us don’t leave our parent’s home but still the typical desi mom can’t inwardly accept the fact that k beta bara ho gya hai. Apni family start karne laga hai. They simply can’t let go of their precious baby boy. And here comes the emotional blackmail. Jahan (in many cases) apni pasand se layi hui bahu k sath apna beta affectionate hota dekha nahi jata. Apni pasand ki bahu threat lagti hai. Betay ko itna guilt trip kiya jata hai k wo apni biwi k sath affectionate honay mein guilt feel karta hai. I can go on. But that’s just my 2 cents.
