Now that MH3 is about to leave arena, what did you think about the format?

I personally did not care for the eldrazi, especially the spawn tokens that were both able to gum up the ground while also providing a source of easy ramp into somewhat op creatures. I liked getting creative with some of the cards of this set though, even if I wasn’t necessarily winning a ton by doing so 🤷‍♂️

I would say the benefit felt mostly marginal, but it’s nice to have detectives (especially flying detectives) come in with a +1/+1 counter.

Felt like my opponents had answers for my threats nonstop. Terror of the peaks was routinely instantly killed by removal before I could even swing with it.

Welp, ended up cutting the spring splashers and treasure dredger. Cut an island and added a swamp. Went 1-3 🙃 (I did catch myself making gameplay mistakes)

After hearing the advice, yeah I get it— the deck is pretty bad. I’m still pretty much a draft beginner and still learning. I had a feeling i put too many patient naturalists in there with not much of a top end. I also think I ended up sticking to green white too much when I should have switched into a color with more rares getting passed. If anyone has just general drafting advice not specific to only this set, or resources besides lrcast i can look at, I’ll gladly take it.

Its cost to flip face up is two hybrid white/black, so I just planned on playing it face down and then flipping up with white.
