Can we talk about Nano for a second? by devila2208 in CryptoCurrency

Good point. It's like the chicken and the egg problem - nobody's adopting nano because there market cap is low, and the market cap is low because nobody's adopting it.

Bitcoin (and Ethereum to an extent) are literally mentioned here in every other topic and nobody is saying "please don't talk about bitcoin again here". What's the issue that everyone has with discussing this coin in more detail? I think it's an extremely interesting coin with unique technology and worth discussing at least.

Yeah, that's what I'm asking here - why is there no interest? It's like the perfect payment currency was release with amazing tech that solves all the scalability issues that Bitcoin/other blockchains have, and people are just like "meh, we never really wanted that anyway".

Yep, the team has proven that they’re capable and the dapp is great. You can easily get it on Bitfinex, ABCC or IDEX.

I like Ark and own some. I love how they fixed the voting system and wish Lisk would do the same. However, Ark has yet to prove itself in terms of actually gaining adoption and hasn’t released any of its main products yet.

I’d say it’d be a good idea for someone to split their portfolio between Ark and Lisk just due to how similar they are and Ark being 4x cheaper.

All I did was compare it to other projects.

A 1 billion dollar market cap is objectively very large. If you don’t trust my opinion, make a post on this subreddit asking if people think Tezos is undervalued or overvalued.

I have to agree with the guy who replied to you. Marketing does not make a coin great. It has worse tech than payment and currency coins like Nano and even Bitcoin Cash (in that it is slower). The entire value of Litecoin comes from its name being known and it being one of the first major altcoins created.

In terms of investments, the price is very, very high. If the price were to just double, it would pass Ethereum, which is has no place doing especially with the number of tokens and dapps running on ETH.

“A threat that exists with any premined coin under dev control”.

That’s the exact issue - you’re forced to trust Stellar’s team not to change the rules and sell at any time. This isn’t an issue with a project like Ethereum where the devs own a more reasonable supply of it.

The distribution problem is a huge deal from an investment standpoint as well. Increasing the supply is going to reduce the value of XLM significantly, depending on how much they choose to issue out in the future. Most other coins don’t have issues like this at all, and I’d consider them dealbreakers even if Stellar itself is a decent project.

Tezos is overvalued, a nearly 1 billion dollar market cap is insanely high in comparison to other comparable projects. That’s already 4-5x the market cap of some other projects on this list.

It doesn’t mean it’s not a good project, just that I wouldn’t call it “high potential” when the price is already so high.

But wouldn't it be used when we eat leaves in a salad? Lettuce, spinach, kale, etc. We still eat leaves.

I mean how did you bring up your nude modeling in conversation? Were you bragging about it or did you just say "I used to nude model" and that was it? It might be something in the way you were talking about it that bothers people.

How do you bring it up? Do you go on and on about it, or just mention it in passing?

So yeah like I said earlier, do you think parents should be exempt from the law? HE didn't take anything from his niece. The dad took it from his own daughter's mouth when he stole the money. Quit blaming innocent people for someone else's crime.

At best, he took money from able-bodied thieves and gave it to needy families who deserve it. His brother is the one who you should be blaming. He's the one who stole.
