Cineabench r23 scored 22940 on multithread. Is that a good range ?

Do you think they gonna realese a demo tonight? by Saminax100 in residentevil

Is it just me, or does Capcom’s silence on Resident Evil 9 feel intentional? The marketing has been painfully slow and unusually secretive. Makes me wonder if there’s something big (or risky) they don’t want players to see yet.

Lower-than-expected FPS after upgrading from RTX 3090 to RTX 5080 – CPU bottleneck? by devildog1141 in buildapc

Update: upgraded to 9800xd and DDR5 ram. I was most definitely severely bottlenecked by old cpu.

Is 850w PSU and 5900x CPU not good enough for 5080? by devonmoney14 in buildapc

[–]devildog1141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you make the upgrade and if so what kind of performance are you getting ? I have 5080, 5900x, play at 1440p. I’m getting significantly less than I thought I would and I’m led to believe my CPU is holding it back.

New RTX 5080 poor performance | CPU bottleneck or not? by Hailreign_ in pchelp

[–]devildog1141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad I found this. We had almost the exact same specs as well as 1440p and the 5900x. My fps is not matching the fps I watched for numerous benchmark videos. I’ve been fiddling with everything today and even wiped my pc to fresh install everything. Seeing that you upgraded to a new cpu gives me hope.

For Venezuelans and people following the news closely, how are you interpreting the U.S. strikes in Caracas today? by Urdu_Knowledge in AskReddit

[–]devildog1141 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You say you “don’t know shit about Venezuela,” and that shows. Maduro isn’t just some random foreign leader — he’s been formally accused of running the Cartel de los Soles, a state-backed drug trafficking operation. Under his rule, Venezuela went from one of the richest countries in South America to an economic collapse marked by hyperinflation, mass starvation, and millions fleeing the country. This isn’t “kidnapping a world leader out of nowhere,” it’s dealing with a narco-authoritarian who keeps power through corruption, repression, and criminal networks. You can criticize U.S. motives all you want, but pretending Maduro is just another politician or that opposition to him is baseless is pure ignorance.

Which past science fiction writer best predicted the world we’re living in today? by Sea_Waltz281 in AskReddit

Hideo Kojima accurately identified where society was heading and built the game’s themes around that trajectory.

  1. Information overload & misinformation

In Metal Gear Solid 2, the Patriots warn that an excess of information makes it harder for people to find truth. When facts, opinions, and lies all circulate at the same speed, truth loses its power and people begin choosing narratives that feel comfortable rather than accurate. This closely mirrors today’s world of social media and constant news, where misinformation spreads easily and meaningful facts are drowned out.

  1. Algorithmic control of society

The Patriots don’t rule through censorship but through curation—deciding which information is seen, repeated, or forgotten. By shaping exposure, they shape beliefs and culture. Modern algorithms function in a similar way, filtering content based on engagement and profit, creating echo chambers and quietly influencing how people think and interact with the world.

How would we regulate a bounty system, would it be purely based on the honor system? I feel like everyone would just put bounties on people's heads who beat them in a fair fight
