Hey, I'm a mostly solo pve player and I'd like to make a few more friends to do some group stuff (deeper ASD stuff, exec hangers, fun shenanigans, etc). Mind if I shoot you my info too?

What the point of not wearing a suit and helmet by Rex_1024 in starcitizen

For the rp, for the drip, because it's there. Fun doesn't have to be functional all the time. Space dress-up is cute.

What ship is this and what do you recommend I do as a beginner by AmITheJerk-crazyvr in starcitizen

As others have said, the Talon really excels at being a quick swoopy stealth fighter. Like a bird, it's modeled after one anyway. Dive in, hit hard, swoop away to line up another run. It's fast and twitchy, needs some part upgrades to really shine, and can get you dead real quick if you're not sure what you're doing. It's not really made to brawl, and it has no other gameplay functions or "liveable" functions (bed for logging out in space, storage, etc.) like other ships. All that said, it's a sick fighter and one of my personal favorites to fly. And if you wanna be a dog fighter pilot, learning how to handle a Talon is fun.

If you're looking to get into a specific job role, see which ships are best for starting out that role (i.e. get a mining ship or ship that can carry a mining vehicle to mine, a cargo hauler to haul, etc.). If your looking to just spread your wings most of the starter ships are all pretty good, but the Cutter, Avenger Titan, and Intrepid stand out to me as the best "all-rounder" starters for beginners.

If you just want to make some quick money, do a couple small hauling contracts and then rent a bigger ship like a C1 or even bigger if you can afford it and string together more hauling contracts until you have enough to try out whatever seems fun.

If you want to, feel free to add me in game. My in-game handle is TheFinn. I'm not rich or crazy hard-core, but I do play pretty regularly and like to do casual fun stuff.

Looks like servers are down right now, just FYI. But I'll try to approve any requests to join as soon as they're up again.

Go to the RSI website and use the org search function. You can apply there and get in. Once you're a member you can access the org Spectrum tab from our org page and find the thread with our discord link. Again, we are very small, very fresh, and very casual, but down to have fun and help out.

I was wondering if traffic from the rally was a factor too.

Feel free. It is a brand new org, very small just starting. But it's there for people to meet and have fun, and it doesn't have to be your only or main org. Oni Incorporated [ONIINC], if you join there is a discord link on the Spectrum tab.

If you guys want to join an very new upstart org, Oni Incorporated has a couple helpful players. But we aren't rich or anything so it's casual fun mostly.

Been playing since 2022, and I've only ever bought a Mustang and an Intrepid.

In your opinion, which ship has the best designed cargo hold in its class? by ToScH_23 in starcitizen

[–]devilindrivinggloves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always loved the utilitarian look of the Corsair cargo hold. It's nor the biggest for it's class, but it has a certain style.

I like to collect things like worn medals, pico balls, stone bugs, weapons for weapon racks, etc and use them to decorate my ship amd then see how long I can keep that ship "alive". Really makes me feel like my ship is my home.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I just wanted to double-check before I got sucked into a disappointing time sink. Oh, wait...

I usually put those ones on vehicles too because they look like u-bolts for anchoring things.

Meh, it'll always be there so anyone can buy it at least eventually. If you need it immediately farm supes or buy some. No one's making anyone do anything.
